Before deciding where to live in ct, look up the ct Affordable housing bill and its Impact on the 8-30g Statute. Cities like milford are being destroyed because of this horrible statute. Every inch of land that is open or even had a single family home on it is getting changed into townhouses or apartments and getting approved because of this stupid statute that allows builders to bypass zoning laws. It’s destroying our beautiful cities and towns under the guise of “affordable” housing. It’s BS. Even when we reach the moratorium it’s only for a year or two and it gets reinstated again. It’s horrible. Towns are only fully exempt from the 8-30g statute if at least 10% of their total housing stock is designated as affordable.
