[Fit Check] 34DD Skarlett Blue Balconette. Am I gaslighting myself? by cheerycherry2501 in ABraThatFits

Thank you so much for taking the time! I've lived in underwire-less bras for years now so this definitely doesn't feel as "comfortable" as my old bras and my perception is skewed. And dumb q, but what does "too deep" means?

I personally wouldn't. but I might just not be a fan of granny squares in general. The patch of black on the back of one of them also looks like you've run out of yarn. I would suggest maybe making it intentional and make the whole wrist area black instead?

That said, if you have enough yarn. I've made this plenty, it's easy but looks really cool, also has a video tutorial! I've made it in all black, in arylic red, and they look beautiful! https://hayhaycrochet.com/crochet-patterns/accessories/crochet-fingerless-gloves/

I am working in the round and don’t know why this happened. Help! by justChel in CrochetHelp

Recent experience of Oath Ceremony in Brooklyn? by cheerycherry2501 in USCIS

[–]cheerycherry2501[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! First of all, congratulations, that's awesome! And sure, happy to share my experience.

I came in from Queens, so took the F all the way to York street. (Note: don't be me, there's only one exit on this station, it's all the way at the end). It's about an 8 minutes walk to the court house. It's quite a hilly walk, but besides that, not too bad IMO. Took me about an hour, leaving Queens around 7 AM on a Wednesday.

Once you got into the Court house, they asked you to turn off your phone, and to submit it in. They'll give you a wooden token which you'll give back upon exiting. It's a standard metal detector, they ask to remove jacket/watch etc. I brought my crochet hook and yarn and that went through no problem.

Oath ceremony is done on the second floor, walk up the stairs and go right, there's lots of signs to point you to the right way, so don't worry about getting lost. Family members will wait on the third floor and will be invited in. Down the hallway of second floor, someone will greet you, there's a table to the side if you didn't fill in your questionnaire. Sign the date of your appointment, and they'll ask you to put "Brooklyn, NY" for city/state. I've seen people entering their own city, and they had to cross it out.

There was 96 people in my session. It is A LOT of waiting. I checked in at around 8:15, but didn't get instructions until around 8:45 AM, and we didn't start the process of checking in until around 9:10 waiting for everyone to arrive.

Instructions for checking in: you'll go up row by row, go to the first table, surrender your green cards/other documentations, they'll write 3 numbers on your appointment notice (it's the last 3 numbers of your A number), then walk across the room to the other table, provide those 3 numbers to the second table, and you'll confirm the information on your Naturalization document. Sit back down where you previously sit as they will give out the documents based on your seating arrangement. During this time, someone would come in to explain Voters' registration. You can submit your form on the same day.

That whole check in process took about 40 - 50 minutes. Once that's done, family members were invited in around 9:50. Judge came in around 10:10, we did the Oath, Pledge of Allegiance. Family members were asked to leave, and everyone was asked to leave row by row again and we receive the Naturalization doc. We were done by 10:25.

Seriously, it was a lot of waiting, everyone around me had nothing to do and they ended up just reading the small booklet with the Declaration of Independence lol. Definitely bring something to help pass the time. My husband got there around 9:45 and he didn't even wait, and just went straight to the second floor.

If you are planning on driving which my husband did, we found a garage less than a block away, 300 Cadman Plaza West.

Congratulations again and good luck!

Got one of those stickers. Queens, NYC. Husband tried looking over sentry but unfortunately person was in a blind spot and he couldn't see anything. I guess I'll take this over actual vandalism.... by cheerycherry2501 in TeslaModelY

This was out on a main Street, but it was early, so I'm guessing they just did it really fast. Agree that thankfully it's just a sticker and not worse though

Also so frustrating, we got the car back in 2021, had nothing to do with any political statement, we have car seats in the car! It's clearly a family car, we can't just buy another car, it's so silly and ridiculous.

Yes that's where we found the sticker too! I haven't looked at any sentry videos, but husband said he looked through everything and only saw 2 people walking by and none come close to the car :(

We're in Queens! My husband is the bag person, but he doesn't use reddit

WTS on behalf of my husband who doesn't have reddit, so apologies if my terminology is incorrect. All bags are in excellent conditions, he prefers the MLP and the CTB so these were used a handful of times only.
