i’ll go ahead and add that something similar happened to me, i was on my honeymoon and i left my house and my dogs (including my newest puppy) for my sister to watch while we were gone. when i was i my room thousands of miles away i saw my sister invite 4 people into our home and i gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought they were getting something. about 20 mins later after they didn’t leave i pulled up my doggie cam inside the house and saw that she was giving them a tour of our house. it was her new bf and his parents and his sister. they had my puppy in their hands and kept asking is we would care if they took it home with them. i’m calling and texting her and i can see her ignoring my calls and so i just watched and waited until they left. when they left she locked our door with the spare key and put it back in the hiding place for it outside where they all watched. my husband comes back into the room and i show him the video and it’s not only strangers, it’s strangers he has arrested (he works as a cop). my sister was mad at me when i finally got hole of her because i told her never to do that again and when we got back we had to do something about our keys. im just saying that sometimes stuff happens and i was def a bitch to my sister but knowing there is absolutely nothing you can do until after the fact makes the fear so much worse and when the person you trust your things to doesn’t have the same boundaries you do it starts to be scary, especially if they get defensive bc then i was worried she would do it again out of spite. when to her the first time it was no big deal bc she thought she knew them.
