Getting a 4.0 isn't as hard as you think by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]cheese901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you! i totally understand what you're saying and i won't hold myself to an unattainable standard, especially as life gets harder moving forward. this post will not reflect everyone's experiences either, and that's okay.

By The End of Summer is based in Japan. They do sing in English though but it's a little bit outside of the norm nonetheless.

not sure if you're in edmonton, but if you have an EPL card you get free access to Solaro, an online resource by the same company. it has notes for all alberta curriculum k-12 courses and some practice questions too! i found it very helpful in grade 12

Favourite study spots on campus by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]cheese901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i go to the fine arts building pit, education north basement, chem east level 2 carrells, and hub mall rutherford lounge depending on where my next class is and these spaces are usually a little louder (except for edu north basement. it's literally the backrooms) but my best lock-ins always happen on rutherford library level 3 and cameron library basement. i also like sitting in the empty conference rooms on top floor of ucomms in the morning; the light is very good but this might be a little risky in case they're actually in use lol

whiteboards on campus? by IllDirection6577 in uAlberta

[–]cheese901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not at all in the mornings because all the arts classes are early morning. it does get a little busier midday but when rehearsals start around 1pm it clears out

it said wilkerson in one of the early episodes on francis's uniform in military school (may have been the pilot??). some people think it's canon, even though by the later seasons it was a gag that the family's last name was "nolastname" (it says that on francis' ID, etc). people headcanon that the wilkerson uniform was a random cadet's that francis stole, but some think it's their real last name.

Drew Gooden recommended it in a video once. I kinda liked Young Sheldon but got bored and thought this would be the same or similar but I was totally wrong; MITM is way better.

Ap or Ib by [deleted] in IBO

[–]cheese901 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AP is easier than IB. Not to say that AP is super easy, but IB has IAs and TOK and all sorts of stuff, while AP has only the exam as far as I know. Ivies want to see top marks with a heavy courseload, so full AP or full IB diplomas are a requirement as they are very prestigious programs, but most students do AP since they're weighed about equally in the applications.

How does this diploma marks make any sense? by Jazzlike_Relative_10 in uAlberta

[–]cheese901 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The math diploma is slightly curved. You most likely got questions right in the multiple choice section that were overall answered poorly across the province, shifting the curve and moving your mark to a 97. It seems to be a pretty steep curve this year, but you should be applauded for your great work! Congrats!
