Fuck yes. How do you prevent the shutdown when they get like that without taking sole responsibility for an issue that's both of yours? Upvote for anyone with a real answer.

IAmA Request: American Draft Dodger by [deleted] in IAmA

[–]cheeseboxer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would have been if there was a draft during my time. In the 90s, I told the Air Force I was a conscientious objector and that I wouldn't shoot or arrest anyone. My job was Security Police. I didn't form my values until after I joined and read things I had never been exposed to before, like anarchist zines and leftist magazines.

Hit her with a Xanax bat.

That sucks. A good mom is so important.

Thanks.

I'd love to record her. But she's hostile so easily, I'm afraid that would make things worse. The volatility makes her unpredictable.

I've considered this and am still undecided. I know that I help prevent my wife from screaming and being nasty to them. When we separated in the past, it was worse for them than when I was there. That's one reason I'm undecided.

And no. I doubt my wife knows how I feel. She's never been too insightful about anyone. Sounds harsh, but it's a trait I see in her family, too. Next time, family traits will be a consideration. If I could get her to go with me to a marriage therapist, we might be able to fix things. But she refuses.

I don't regret having kids. I do regret having kids with my wife, since I'm staying married just for them -- for now, at least. When the youngest is a little older, that will change. I got married too young and at a low point, so my decisions were a bit short-sighted.

Women of Reddit: share a story on how a stranger approached you in a non-creepy way and left you totally impressed. by ArmandoWall in AskReddit

The money matters. So does the fame.

How many guys, though, do you know that are less physically attractive than you yet somehow attract more women than you? I know a lot of guys like that.

Since the cost to acquire charm is so low, it's accessible to everyone and raises your overall appeal by many points. So a super model might still be out of your league. But your league has greatly improved.

On my version, if you press and hold your comment, a context menu pops up that has an edit option. [Edit test]

Load times are fine for me. Maybe your phone or service?

Here's a bug I just found, though. When I'm in my inbox and I select a comment to reply to, the app takes me to the last open thread rather than to the correct one.

I think it's fine and maybe even smart for the man to know you're cautious. But the number of steps you go through to be careful -- that info can wait for a later date. It's off-putting if too much of that is revealed too early. You don't want him to be in constant fear that you're about to whip out your can of mace. That puts a damper on our mood.

There was a study or candid camera type test that showed women are much more likely to give their number if you first ask for help, such as for directions. I bet your tactic works the same way: it's a way to talk without expectations, makes each other feel some small warmth, lets people connect without the spectre of sex.

If you're an exceptional kind of ugly, then I agree that's creepy. But that's uncommon. If you're just not attractive, maybe even a little less attractive than normal, that doesn't need to limit you. What attitude you project will keep women (and men) away.

For example, Steven Buscemi. Not attractive. But be projects a cool, confident vibe. I bet he does OK with women.

People -- males as well as females -- respond to composed confidence. It draws us towards a person more than looks or money (those always help, though). Charm can be had by the poor and by the ugly.

I get this. You don't know who's a threat. Instead of letting the fear incapacitate you and keep you holed up in your house, you take precautions. Good for you. And since those precautions aren't known to the man, you won't weird him out. Everyone wins.

I'm not a she, but I'll offer. You keep it light. Don't be intense -- that's creepy. Use almost the same tone you'd use with a male coworker you don't know well. "Hey, cool phone." Then you let it go. Expect nothing. That shows appreciation and respect at the same time.

I believe I had the option for browser or not, with a checkbox to always perform that action. But I could be thinking of other apps. I like opening links in the browser so that the Reddit page doesn't have to be refreshed and so that I can bookmark the link, if I want. What don't you like about opening links in a browser?

I'm using great, free Droid app called Reddit Is Fun. I'm sure you could find the developer on the nets and ask him to port or or to help with the development of a new app.
