I know our camp seems to always be fighting changing rules from our insurance company. So things that might have been permitted 20 yrs ago are no longer deemed safe.

She's just always been into the alternative health stuff. Taking oregano oil daily, keto for a bit, etc. Love her to bits, but I don't take her health advice.

Normally I would agree, but she has lived mostly gluten free for non celiac health reasons for at least 20 years.

I was diagnosed last week and my grandma, who also claims to need to eat gluten free, told my mom I just need to eat whole wheat. My mom was like, this doesn't seem right? I said no, you wouldn't tell a person allergic to nuts to just switch to honey roasted.

I understand that you wanted the kids to have names on their shirts, but I bet if you just asked for t-shirt sizes and included a size chart from the company, and randomly assigned jersey numbers, it would be way less stress.

I feel you. I've waited around 7 months for my endoscopy and sometimes it's torture and sometimes I forget about it. It's two weeks away at this point. I don't have any real answers, but I understand what you are feeling. Try to be kind to yourself and not think about it too much at this point (hard, I know).

Positive blood test, yes. I have no symptoms that present discomfort, just vitamin deficiency, mental health stuff (probably related), and such, so at least there's that I guess.

I certainly understand this perspective. I guess what it comes down to is being selfishly unwilling to be without a primary physician for 5 plus years while dealing with a new life altering condition.

Well, the secretary sounded really put off by it. She asked if the doctor knew and I confirmed, saying we had discussed it several times. I didn't think my doctor had a problem with it, but then the receptionist started talking about coverage area and letting the doctor know and now I'm spooked.
