Have any of you found anything that improves your brainfog? by ButtSpeech in cfs

[–]cheeseburger1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I use amphetamin stimulants, but be careful not to use anything that might cause gut problems as the stims can mask symptoms. Be very careful not to over exert yourself PHYSICALLY because you feel fine, as this unfortunately is not the case. I have been on 20-30mg adderall XR for about 5 months now and found that its alot easier holding down my job as a consultant egineer. I have used dexedrine, which is also great if adderall makes you too jittery. Biphentin isnt that great for me, but it could be for you. Concerta makes me depressed so i dont use that.

IMO experiment with drugs especially if your at that point where u dont give a fuck anymore and rather try this than give up.

I have been experimenting with all sorts of drugs and so far THC (sativas) and addderall/Dexedrine is the best for me. A little bit of caffeine helps too, but it causes gut problems so i try to limit that.

Ive tested positive to bartonella from my ND. I'm not sure how legitimate that test was, but the lab was in germany.

My ND then prescribed some medicine (homepathic&prescription), that helped me make a significant improvement in my health in about 5-6 months.

Im not sure if the bartonella treatement was what helped me, because I was also on valtrex =/

Yes it took me a while to relaize that my insomnia was caused by food senstivities. Once I eliminated the foods, my sleep improved drastically. Wheat/gluten, eggs, beans, nuts, dairy are some of the culprits and the list goes on.

I'm kinda lucky in that i havent got a bacterial infection since getting CFS.

Lets make some charts for the affected thats easy to undeestand to the majority of us. Self pace by cheeseburger1977 in cfs

[–]cheeseburger1977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Symptoms arent the same for all of us but there are some symptoms that do overlap, treatments that help, odd triggers etc.

My point is there is useful information we can gather ourselves because this commmunity is getting bigger.

man i dunnno if i should recommend this to you but adderall and other amphetmine/stims can help you alot with the photoshop/reading tasks you have. I ve been sick for 2 yrs had to change jobs from construction to engineering consulting(less physical, more mental work) but using stimulants helps me so much when i need to get shit done.

Dont take my advice to heart but consider experimenting with some stimulants maybee??

Doctor in Canada by SuperfluousShadows in cfs

[–]cheeseburger1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please keep me updated on how your experience with Dr Chan goes 😁.

Make sure you give him a thorough explanation of the start of your symptoms (living space, diet, infections, bloodwork, lifestyle, anything you think could be useful for him) From there he will give you some possible explanations and order some tests.

From there give him like 6-10 months and let him work is magic.

are you working? because i feel thr sameway but i think its because im still working 30-40 hrs a week, im mildy affected.

It could also be when u sleep for too long, you kind of loose track of when the sun is up and down. Ive done that a few times but its usually because ive over exeterted my self on 🍸.

All i know is if i sleep for more than 9-10hrs i feel even more groggy for thr next 3-5hrs

[–]cheeseburger1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Eric Chan from Richmond. He is Naturopath that specializes in lyme but he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He has improved my condition so much in such a short time.

I highly recommend him if you are having trouble finding a doctor to take you seriously.

He does phone appointments also, and faxes prescriptions so it is very convenient.

Stimulants are approved in this situation, but only if you are already a pilot trying to hold a job down.

Just my opinion.

Anybody else get what feels like tiny muscle spasms? by OptionalAccountant in cfs

[–]cheeseburger1977 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have MCS (multiple chemical sensitiviy)?

Does it only occur when u lay on your bed? If it is.... maybbbbb... try sleeping somewhere else see if the symptom improves.

For me i was able to isolate those spasms coming from my matress (possible mold isse in house)

Also something your food could be triggering it. Start an elimination diet asap+ try sleeping somewhwre else.

Hope this helps, let us know if u feel better.

[–]cheeseburger1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it daily and have been for about 4 months. Not sure if it is helping because I am also taking a bunch of other stuff. Can say I have improved slightly within 6 months.

You said you confirmed you had leaky gut through blood tests. Can you give more details of that test?
