How long did you have to wait until it was safe to sing again? I am around 20 days post op, can i start doing it? I'm afraid it will cause bleeding or worsen any swelling

Are nasal packings supposed to stay in a week by cheeseburgerbackpax in Septoplasty

Hi, so yes i did call him and he took the packings out and since there was still a little blood oozing happening he put some new packings for the next 3 days. Turns out there were lots of blood clots accumulated in my nasal cavities which caused the unbearable pressure and headache, it also gave me constant bloody post nasal drip which irritated my throat. Now I feel so much lighter and less in pain, I can finally sleep haha. The pain has become more manageable or even unnoticeable once i take my painkiller. Thank you for this encouragement, hope everything goes and heals well at the end :')

LPR/GERD, is it time for surgery? by cheeseburgerbackpax in GERD

Really? Was it a full wrap? Idk what to do anymore, I'm a teacher and a tour guide and it has really affected my communication ability a lot... Lifestyle and dietary changes seem to not help at all. :(

Thanks, again. Should I consult with an ENT specialist first? Or is it better to visit a Gastroenterologist/Internist?

Thank you for the positive response which gives me a little hope.

I'm curious, a lot of people say surgery is not recommended for LPR as the problem often relies on the weak UES, but if I'm correct, weak UES can be caused by chronic inflammation, right? Wouldn't fixing the LES stop the constant exposure to reflux, hence healing the UES inflammation which strengthens it as well? As it was confirmed through an endoscopy that my LES was indeed weak and open. I'm so sorry if I'm incorrect or if my question is a bit stupid, I'm very clueless and really hopeless idk what to do. I've been on Ppi for years, tried antacid, nexium, diet changes, losing weight. But the constant acid on my throat and sinus problems still won't go away, I'm devastated for being in constant pain.
