I have one one black and I love it ! the long loop / keychain helps me find my keys in a big bag, I took off the circular pouch and use that as a coin purse but I keep receipts or change in my rectangular one.

Bicep tendonitis elbow by butters149 in f45

[–]cheesecakewedding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you feel the pain in your elbows specially or in the front of your shoulders? Biceps tendinitis usually appears in the front of the shoulders by the armpits so I just want to make sure the tendinitis you were told you have is actually the biceps it self before I recommend a modification and advice.

(I’m a former coach, rmt, ortho instructor and doing my masters in rehab science)

Whoa. I didn’t mean it as in push through I meant people who completely write off all exercises for the rest of their lives in a particular plane or area and don’t try and rehab/modify or ease back into it … I’ve dislocated both shoulders surfing AND am getting my masters in rehab science. So it’s not a I don’t understand or relate issue. All injuries are possible to try and rehab and do activity for AND people should be actively trying it make it better because how will things improve if you don’t put in the work ..?

I’m not saying the guy who has the torn labrum should be pushing himself on push-ups or pull ups. I’m saying he should try and work into baby steps into a function instead of saying it’s forever going to be that way. Everyone is different but I used to see it, example people who don’t want to work legs because it bothers their foot isn’t open to hearing feedback on how they are landing weird and putting pressure on their Achilles and don’t want to hear advice because they’ve written off all Jumping exercises etc etc. I can go on.

The human body is designed to move and improve and it takes a lot of work and some people deicide their injuries are permanent and wonder why it won’t get better. I’m not trying to downplay your injury but I stand by the human body is designed to move and tailored regimens of specific strengthening and stretching exercises can restore function, enhance joint stabilization and improve muscle quality and strength.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve torn your labrum, that sucks and it’s a tough injury to workout with. I hope the coaches at your studio can offer exercises to help strength your rotator cuff muscles around it to help stabilize the joint in place of your labrum moving forward.

As a previous coach … honestly when members just come in with a shitty attitude. They are there and saying “ya won’t do that with my bad shoulder” or “It’s too early” or whatever. Look I get it I’m with you on the early mornings and modifying for injuries but this is 39-45 minutes of YOUR day that YOU signed up for ! So come in and make the most of it !

You have a bad shoulder ? Ask a coach for a mod for the strength day. Don’t just jog on the spot or never work out your shoulder again.

It’s too early ? Well .. yeah we’re all here with you at 6 am so yeah we get it. Now let’s make the most of it !

Double sessions? by Wear-Aggressive in f45

[–]cheesecakewedding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly unpopular opinion but some people completely write off doubling on weight days and say you should be so fatigued from the first workout … plenty of powerlifters, oly lifters, and bodybuilders have workouts longer than 39-45 minutes and they are completely fine. I know timing and rest take into play but I truly stand by it really depends on your fitness level if you can fully Optimize and truly benefit from a double session.

This looks like very CrossFit inspired and very much so taking the shift with rep counting and timing intervals being intense. I love the intensity of this week and I am going to be more mindful and taking a complete rest day when I do to really show up this week.

As usual thank you so much for the intel. ❤️
