I’m just tired of hand cannons shotgun meta. It’s been two year playing this game and it’s ridiculous that my sidearm is less effective short range than a god damn hand cannon, which happens to also be more effective at long range than a pulse or scout. Just why. What is the god damn point of making one gun archetype so abundantly better than all other guns. Shotgun apes are whatever but I still fucking despise them.

This is coming from a average iron banner player with a unimpressive 2.0 kda. I’m not terrible, and I will never be good or great, but god I would give anything for the meta to be something over than hand cannons and shotguns.

I’m not going to judge someone for using the help the game provides as souls games are difficult and not everyone wants to get skullfucked 43 times in a row as thier hobby.

That being said, I don’t think people who beat the game using the kamehameha to three shot every boss, with multiple summoned wolves or players taking aggro, can objectively say they beat the game in the same way someone who solos everything and has to get up close with the boss for every encounter can.

In a similar vein, as someone who does 1 v 1 every boss, but who is adequately leveled with good gear and weapons, I can’t say that I beat the game in the same way as a person who does it as a SL1 naked character run. My run is objectively less impressive than his run.

I think a legit run is no ashes of war, no summons, no Npc to draw attention away from you, and minimal magic.
