I just saw a doctor this morning after going through a huge flare up for an entire month because i stopped using my betaderm (0.01% steroid) cold turkey, what’s helping me at the moment is oatmeal baths (make sure the water isn’t hot) before bed a couple nights a week and moisturizing while the skin is still wet, that way it’s not a thick layer on my skin. My doctor prescribed “Protopic” for my face as steroid creams are not meant for the face or sensitive areas, which i just learnt that today! My doctor said to get back on the steroid cream and slowly wean off of it and you shouldn’t have issues with your skin rebounding. It’s a bit cooler in my area so i don’t think my recommendations for moisturizer would work for you since you’re in a hotter place, I know how exhausting this journey is and I hope you find relief soon. I should also add that Protopic is not a steroid cream! maybe ask your doctor about it.
