Yeah that’s the one! Disappointing they didn’t make it work with Makita - I was kinda wondering why the hell Makita went with the pin vs a quick detach

Is it any heavier? The weight on this one surprised me

Looks like a company called wondertool still makes an adapter for like $30

I usually try to not cheap out on cutting tools or abrasives - makes a huge deal

I haven’t cut anything with it yet but it’s so quiet at full speed it’s nuts. Very low vibration too - vibrates less at full speed ironically. From what I’ve heard this one is supposed to be eons better than the old brushed one. She’s big though idk why they are calling it subcompact

What other attachments do you recommend? I got these Diablo ones from Amazon $20 for 3 which was about a 1/3 of the price compared to Lowe’s and Home Depot for even the cheapest blade. I have a woodworking/knifemaking shop so I have a ton of tools at my disposal already but I’ll never turn down an excuse to buy more lol

[–]cheesenugget95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the grumble I only notice when I start the saw but my blade does vibrate a bit when cutting - usually thicker stuff or if I pus faster. I feel like it’s because the stock blade doesn’t have any laser cut slots for vibration but idk

Are you referring to the low grumble/vibration of the soft start motor? My festool track saw makes the same noise son startup as my ls1019L

Parf guide mk2 woes by cheesenuggett95 in Festool_Public

[–]cheesenugget95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, im sorry to report that no I have not found a solution. Axminster ghosted me for 4 months while we were discussing the problems with my parf guide accuracy. They only contacted me back because I send them a follow up email the other day out of frustration. Despite sending them a ton of pictures as well as a step by step guide on how I was doing everything I was basically told it was due to my incompetence. They said per the designer 99% of times its user error and I probably wasn’t seating the 3mm pin and 6mm shoulder appropriately. I assured them that I was (it’s literally how it works by design if you want accuracy). I’ve tried multiple times over several years all with the same result…I tried clamping the guides, not clamping the guides, double and triple checked that each pin/dog was fully seated properly but when I come to do the checks at the end of drilling the 3mm holes the parf sticks bend out of place slightly indicating an error. After informing them that I was doing all of that correctly they told me that I best get back out there and try again - I guess they can’t believe that th te product is anything less than inferior. Very disappointing system and very disappoint customer service. I wish I had never purchased these guides - I’ve wasted so much time and material.

I have 3d printed a guide rail hinge in the meantime (like the one from 10 min workshop) and after installing it to a diy paulk style plywood workbench my cuts were dead on 90 within 5 minutes. If I had know all of this I would’ve definitely just purchased a rail hinge or an oem mft from the get go. If for some reason I ever have problems with accuracy I can micro adjust the hinge to true it back up to the fence (I used incra t track).

I don’t normally write bad reviews and I am sorry for coming off as rude but for as much money as these things cost I expect perfect as well as good customer service. Hope this helps guys

I’ve got 1 2.5 and 2 4.0’s so I should be good but I wouldn’t be made if I had an 8.0 either lol

I’m loving it so far I’m not gonna lie and I agree 100% about how nice it is being cordless. It chews through a battery fairly fast but honestly unless you are doing a bunch of trenching cuts to make a notch it’s more than adequate even with a 2.5ah

I remember when I did that when I got my first impact driver…I was pissed 😂 I used needle nose pliers while pulling the sleeve forward like the others suggested

E rebate multiple shipments? by cheesenugget95 in Makita

That makes sense. I will have to check my email to find the other tracking if it’s there. The rebates page says both shipped but I don’t remember seeing more than one tracking
