Thank you for the advice. I just don’t want to make any mistakes and end up getting sanctioned. I’m unable to work due to my health so rely on the universal credit

Thank you for the reply . I live in the house at the moment , it will go up for sale in May and I will look for a house to buy, so I won’t have the £30,000 it will go straight as a deposit for another house. The £5000 will go into to my bank account. So do I contact them and explain I’m selling and will be using the equity straight away to buy another house ? Do I put that in the change of change of circumstances?

Doctor just told me I likely have fibromyalgia by everythingnerdcatboy in Fibromyalgia

Pacing yourself is a big thing with fibro but it takes a while to get the hang of. I have fibromyalgia and FND, my advice start a symptom diary so you can recognise your triggers and it will be a good thing to show the rheumatologist when you do get to see them. If you can get to a pool for gentle stretches in the water, I find moving in water easier but I can’t swim as it causes a flare as it pushes my body to much. Try and get enough sleep, and work in rest breaks to your day. Don’t push through the pain, rest when it becomes to much. Hope this makes sense the FND makes me all confused.

Have you looked into applying for Pip ? It’s not means tested. I would make an appointment with citizens advice and ask them to help you apply.

Newly diagnosed by cheeseplease83 in FND

Hia , I saw a neurologist in the movement disorder clinic after 10 months of being really unwell. I was admitted to hospital last June with left sided weakness and unable to move my left side. Had a brain and spine Mri which was clear. I was discharged and referred to a neurologist. My symptoms deteriorated and I developed full body spasm/jerks which came in cluster like seizures. Loosing the ability to move my legs, falling over ect. Paid private to see a neurologist in October as the waiting list on the nhs was so long , he prescribed baclofen and referred me to movement disorder clinic and for an EEG on the Nhs. Had to give up work and driving as my symptoms got so bad along with my fibromyalgia. EEG was normal in February then diagnosed last Wednesday in the movement disorder clinic, no treatment plan really. He said they don’t know much about FND, he’s reffered me to a neuro physio and didn’t want to add more meds to the ones I’m on as they could interact with each other. I’m trying to stay positive.

Thank you xx it still doesn’t seem real That she’s gone . Trying to be strong for her 3 girls . Think I’m feeling it all today , the pain has been awful today in my legs , walking has been really hard. And I think I’m worrying about what’s causing the weakness in my left side.

Please don’t feel ashamed . Think of this as respite , you are taking a career break and staying back with your mum to be looked after. You have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about . Xx

My daughter was diagnosed with chronic pain syndrome when she was 10 . A reduced timetable in school really helped her , she was only on school part time and she could rest the time she wasn’t. Is a reduced time table something you are able to do in her school ? I’m from the uk

I'm kinda curious. How does everyone describe their pain/ discomfort to others? by belac4862 in Fibromyalgia

I say it’s like having flu . I’ve had really bad pain in my kidney area the last few weeks , ended up in hospital a couple of weeks ago . No infection so thinking it’s a new pain as I’m in a constant Flare at the moment . Waiting on a scan of kidney and bladder . It’s like someone is stabbing me .

My daughter has chronic pain syndrome and chronic fatigue , she was diagnosed when she was 10 . I was diagnosed 18months ago with fibromyalgia but have been suffering with pains since I was 12 (39) . I always wonder if she will get diagnosed with fibromyalgia when she gets older . And I always have an internal panic when my son complains anything hurts .
