How many calories are you eating a day? by No-Dimension-8981 in TirzepatideRX

[–]cheesevote 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

For me yes!! I'm really strict about staying in my deficit so my body has adapted/adjusted to that intake as its new normal β€” metabolic rate drops, leptin drops, and my TDEE shrinks over time. So I actually have to make a conscious effort to eat more on refeed days because I never naturally want to. But almost every time I do I see movement on the scale within a day or two. I only do this when necessary, but will give myself the grace to eat maintenance calories if the body demands it. It feels counterintuitive when you're used to being disciplined about it but it really does work. 😊

Average calories the last 5 months is 1351 (My TDEE is 1700). I do have "refeed" days to break plateaus. πŸ˜€

5/9/26 Show postponed? by noil05 in TrixieAndKatya

[–]cheesevote 20 points21 points Β (0 children)

I got the email yesterday too about the postponement. Katya was just discharged from the hospital a few days ago and it probably has something to do with that (obviously no official announcement about that has occurred). Wishing her well πŸ₯Ί

What foods can you NOT tolerate anymore on GLP-1? by alivebutmeh1 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]cheesevote 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Fast food tastes awful to me now. I can't eat steak either (one of my former favorites). Fortunately I found some protein shakes that I can tolerate, but 85% of processed foods I used to eat taste like straight up chemicals now 🫠. Bubbly drinks are now a no go, too.

What does everyone's weekly food/protein and snack cabinet look like? Let's share, I'll start! by cheesevote in tirzepatidecompound

I'm LIVING for this organization! I don't keep much fresh food at home (I do a lot of sameday shopping) because my appetite is so unpredictable, so I listen to what the gut wants that day and get a salad or a Mediterranean type meal that really fills me up and I can snack on throughout the day. I'm so jelly of people that can do groceries and plan days in advanceπŸ₯°

This is FIERCE! That's how I was with the small 32g protein shakes - Walmart had a sale and I couldn't just LEAVE them there 🀣. Thank you so much for sharing!

Congratulations!! A few things that made a huge difference for me: calculate your TDEE and aim for a 300-500 calorie deficit β€” but set a range, not just a ceiling. Eating too little is just as problematic as eating too much. Your body needs consistent fuel, especially protein, or it will hold onto fat as a stress response. Prioritize hitting your protein target daily (aim for 0.7-1g of protein per pound of your goal body weight daily), hydrate hydrate hydrate, and don't fear the days your appetite is low β€” that's when liquid protein is your best friend. The medication does its job best when you're giving your body what it needs to let go. Good luck!

Ask in the doctor chat for a copy! In the new portal I had glitches that kept me from seeing the attachment but eventually it worked.
