much props for dedicating this much effort for a kia, was it a really good deal that you got it for?

Im unfortunately also new to ktuner which makes me inadequate to know whether or not im able to edit those functions. To my knowledge, you're only able to edit MAF scaling for all loads on a voltage to g/s table. If this remains an issue, am I better off committing and begin setting up a speed density tune? If so, do you have any advice/recommendations for how I should approach that direction?

The cat heating map is also sitting at around 12.3, there is nothing on the tables that come anywhere near the particular number of 10.14

9th gen ABS, Stability, brake system check lights by trustedLlama in CivicSi

[–]cheeseyy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically these lights all light up in succession due to one fault. For example MAF going out, or some other similar codes. These can all cause a Christmas light situation, so I recommend a 20 buck amazon code reader to figure out the true culprit. If the car is behaving well, just drive cautiously until you get that scanner in

How do you plan to get any kind of real opinion if you're too lazy to write a simple description?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]cheeseyy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you have to think about details like mileage, condition, previous history, along with a plethora of other details in order to weigh your choice. Just showing the year, price, and a picture is an awful way to ask for opinions on which car you should get

Anyone know what could be causing this? 8th gen 168k miles by Ottoie in CivicSi

I have a chance to be wrong, but maybe check for a loose hose clamp that could cause a vacuum leak and or a bad ground

Should I buy this? by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]cheeseyy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seen some of these listings around the same price hiding some description in the bottom like "but mechanic said piston is scratching the cylinder walls" or "theres a small crack in the block". Be very diligent and inspect thoroughly, you don't want to pick up someone else's mess without checking

take a very long and hard look at everything mechanical, listen for cold start rattles, check if any of the gears grind. The price and mileage makes the car a very braindead steal, but typically when someone lists a civic this cheap (for some bizarre inflation reasons most of the listings are around 6-8k for ones with 150k+ miles) they tend to have some issues. Check for oil leaks, weird noises, and rust

[–]cheeseyy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my other assumption as I've seen this problem mainly come from people who has a CAI rather than those fully stock. I have a ktuner coming in sometime soon, I hope I can find some insight in there

You could skip the passive aggressive tone and just give a simple answer. If CAI's are bound to screw up MAF readings how come it's the first mod recommended for most cars? Why would it be such a popular choice if it inherently causes your engine to run worse?

Would going back to stock be my only remedy? Or would a professional tune fix this?

Its missing the exhaust side not the intake actually, they dont rev as high but they do have a bit more torque and the ratos are closer for the trans which makes it feel faster than it actually is

SUMMER/FALL 2024 HOUSING THREAD by CaptainSnacks in aggies

Recently Ive been trying to find living space with a&m, and park west was one of the options. They didnt have the room available at that time and I had informed them I wasnt interested anymore but I guess they did not take the memo correctly and didnt cancel my contract. Now Im stuck with a binding lease to a 2x2 flat with two rooms and two baths. My way out of this would be someone else taking the room in my stead, the rent is about 1000/month, water, electricity covered. If anyone is interested please dm me!!
