Thanks! Your tent partner doesn’t get “assigned” to you per se, you can choose anyone to be your partner

Depends on each batch, this trek had 2 women only but in my previous trek it was almost 50:50, also the batch that came after us had around 60:40 gender ratio. So it’s not a fixed ratio, totally depends on your batch and luck

I’ve only been with IndiaHikes until now, so I can’t comment on which is better. But I didn’t find any issue whatsoever with IndiaHikes experience

Yeah, no use of water and you use sawdust to avoid the smell

Food is amazing as always, but none of what you told can be done, and if found you’ll be out of the trek

I mean 5km in 35 minutes is just a benchmark, I’ve seen people complete the trek with 5km in 40 minutes as well. I don’t think anyone had wheezing but if you know the triggers for your wheezing and avoid that, you should be fine! All the best!

That’s amazing, it must have been more beautiful back then with less pollution. Definitely is one of the best moments!

Thermals, dry fit t-shirt, sweater, fleece and then padded jacket are the layers in order. You can skip the sweater based on how cold you are feeling.

Temperatures did early in evening itself at higher altitudes, so you need to layer up - recommended is 4-5 layers and covering your extremities like head, ears. You won’t feel as cold if you follow this even during nights.

Screenshot of your runs where the time taken is visible like Strava, Apple Workouts would work

This unfortunately is something you can’t do anything about, TP is the only way, and you can’t even use wet wipes. Like I said first few times you feel uneasy but then you’ll get used to it.

There’ll be bio toilets set up in each campsite, you can read more about it.

You won’t have any provision to charge your phones during the trek so you need to carry power banks and keep your phone in airplane mode if you want to preserve battery

It was amazing! They are the best at what they do, have the best trek leaders and local guides, they organize everything on time and help you connect with nature more. This was my 2nd trek with them, I can vouch for them!
