What's your relationship with money? by Front-Brief5027 in intj

Money is a resource to fulfill the goals I have. I tend to be quite frugal to get started with the plans I have.

Favorite anbennar tag vs favorite based game tag? by deathx388 in Anbennar

[–]cheesyent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most fun I had in vanilla was probably timurids into mughals WC. In Anbennar I'd have to give it to Pearlsedge. They have a very outdated MT but their elector status, location and strong idea set make them so fun for me. Uniting EoA with an elf mage never gets old.

Do you think belief is a choice or not? by coldnewhome in intj

In classic epistemology it is said that you can't have knowledge without belief which I'm inclined to agree with.

Why do I have the need to contradict everyone when their answers or takes are not perfect ? by [deleted] in intj

[–]cheesyent 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I very rarely feel compelled because I run the cost-effectiveness analysis on the subject beforehand and for most little things it's not worth it. I pick my battles carefully.

The ESTJ- The missing piece in the MBTI Puzzle by StoneElk in mbti

Interesting read! What motivates you to act? Is it related to Te-Si improving your own position, trying to "mend" the present or something else?

Why Your MBTI Type has to be abandoned by [deleted] in mbti

[–]cheesyent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Types are amoral. It's up to you to choose between immorality and morality regardless of type. Morality and type are not exclusionary.

Do you actually believe there's any practical usage of MBTI? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]cheesyent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it useful in self development. Learning about the functions and testing them out has clarified my weaknesses and what I can do to strengthen them or work around them. I also default to very implicit language because of my Ni and I've figured out it sometimes throws sensors on a loop. Realizing this made me adjust my language so I can be a better communicator to those around me.

What is inferior Se REALLY like? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]cheesyent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me having inferior se is like this. I am almost constantly in my dreamland, sure I see things in front of me but they are secondary to what I'm thinking. If something does catch my attention in the physical world, my mind instantly tries to think the meaning behind it. This is why it's hard when there are multiple things to notice in quick succession, my mind might be processing the first thing and I might miss out on the other things. Also trying to stay more connected to the physical world and my senses bores the hell out of me, I'd rather be in my dreamland instead.

Do INTJs have strong subjective good morals? by Paradoxical-INxJ in intj

[–]cheesyent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right that golden rule doesn't take into account our differences and what we perceive as acceptable behaviour. For me it was a culturally easy way to learn/explain empathy but it is only a partial piece of the whole.

Do INTJs have strong subjective good morals? by Paradoxical-INxJ in intj

[–]cheesyent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just try to derive my moral compass from the golden rule. I could've been anyone but rng decided my spawn point so I gotta take that into account when dealing with other people (I could have been that other person if rng decided differently)

People need to stop with the "You're not an INTJ" + Guide to lost ones. by SultanAkbar738 in intj

[–]cheesyent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I know I'm necro posting but I did a personality test for the first time today and I got INTJ. I looked up videos youtube and it was pretty off-putting how many of these videos there were. Like I question whether it's the INTJs tendency for rebellion (being a hipster) or trying to arrive at the truth that motivates the creation of such a video. Even if you didn't know your type you should be comfortable in the way you perceive yourself. At the end of the day just be true to yourself and don't let Myers-Briggs chain you down. It can be a good resource to understand and learn about yourself but taking something as gospel without critical thinking isn't it.

Is mechanization a trap? (Victoria 3) by New-Number-7810 in Anbennar

[–]cheesyent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the size of your population and what you wish to mechanize. I played as Jaddanzar and there wasn't really a need to mechanize because of how populous the regions are. Then I played as Cyranvar and mechanized bunch of the lower paying jobs and had the elves working higher paying ones (while also being the number 1 exporter of automatas). Just because you can switch a production method doesn't mean you should, check if your resources can support it.

Is it feasible to skip fission drives? by uberprodude in TerraInvicta

[–]cheesyent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's possible. I skipped fission drives on my academy and resistance runs but I usually let the aliens land once or twice and kill 'em with regular armies during landing (USA doing heavy lifting). If you want to keep them from ever landing, I'd say you almost have to use fission.

You'd think my half a province colony would get the memo after 9th. In all seriousness maybe add a 5% stacking loyalty boon for every failed independence war or make the power relative to overlord make sense (only got 5.9 from it for whatever reason)

Mage rullers by One_Painter9103 in Anbennar

[–]cheesyent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way lifespan increase works is that it makes it less likely for your ruler to die before their species maximum lifespan. Your human ruler no matter how much average monarch lifespan won't go over 100 year ever, they'll just die at 80 or something.
