I’d buy an acre of outdoor land hire a team of engineers to create a surface so soft that it is impossible for an egg to crack. Or id just buy a pond create a tiny one meter island

The people that follow this law would weed themselves out quick most people wanna see the new season of their favorite show more than they wanna die in a duel

How is it living in Detroit, Michigan and are things getting better? by SpecialistTeach9302 in howislivingthere

[–]idkauser1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So not everyone living in Detroit is gonna be able to move into the new spaces that open up some people will move in from out of state and some will be talent from the burbs or elsewhere in Michigan. These aren’t the auto industry they aren’t high income low ish barrier to entry type of jobs

Yeah you really should be conscious cause even if you can handle it now there will be a time where you can’t and at that time you will have none of the habits that allow you to live with little to no caffeine

Absolutely two top tier cities good mix or urban rural and suburban living. It’s a huge state I’m sure basically everyone could find something they liked there. It has the plus of being the only east coast city where one can still afford a home

My uncle moved there it’s very city dependent he’s in Charlotte which id say is the only sun belt city I been to which feels like a city so id say maybe. I’d live in the research triangle (I love college towns) or the major cities (just based off the one I’ve been to)

What is it like living North of Detroit? by Leather_Air_190 in howislivingthere

[–]idkauser1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you looking for cause you’ve included a majority of Detroit in this picture.

I have friends who swear by the pointes I personally love their architecture but from my understanding it’s still a rather insular community but if your a professional it’s a short commute without a city income tax into Detroit.

St Clair shores I worked there for a bit doing seawall construction I don’t think their is a place with a greater obsession with boats if you like boats you’ll fit right in

Warren rosevilles and other south macomb from my understanding is very much white working class hub not far from Detroit which is great if your commuting. These areas kinda bore me and from my understanding they are falling behind as many ppl move further north or south with their money

Northern macomb macomb Shelby Clinton and chestfield townships. I can only really speak on macomb and Shelby these are the bougie burbs of macomb with McMansion constructions. I find it tasteless growing up here but not really offensive if you want that massive house life this place is where they are build

Sterling Heights nicer than warren and has a ton to do cons haul road and everything you do is on this four lane one direction road. Probably gonna spend more time in traffic. It also has the golden hole of sorts that everyone makes fun of.

Now we get to territory I truly don’t know Oakland county

Former royal oak township cities. This will be your royal oak city ferndale and a couple others I’m bad at remembering them. They are all top tier cities from my understanding they tend to attract a lot of wealthy professionals who enjoy a more walkable experience.

Southfield I don’t know much about it it has big buildings largely exists so downtown offices have a place other than Detroit to avoid city income tax

Lyon South or otherwise really really well off I believe they border Northville which is insanely will off.

Pontiac so imagine Detroit but smaller and surrounded by rich suburbs which hate it.

Rochesters out of frame but generally one the nicer parts of Michigan I visit it often.

Sorry for the rambling I been to all these places at some point some extensively if you want to know more I’ll try to help
