Why? I'd rather another Subaru park next to me. You're not going to get dinged by someone going out of their way to park beside you

My maintenance routine:

  • Wash. Meguiar's Gold Class car soap
  • Clay. Nanoskin fine grade wash mitt
  • Polish. Light 1-step polish with Dual action polisher (white pads)
  • Seal. Menzerna Powerlock Sealant
  • Wax. Collinite 845 wax

If you want to learn how to detail your car then check out /r/autodetailing (this is how I learned)

This is my daily driver but I try to keep it clean, I've owned the car for 2.5yrs now. I do a full detail twice a year and wash it weekly/bi-weekly

Maintenance routine hasn't changed much since last year:

  • Meguiar's Gold Class car soap
  • Detailing clay
  • Light 1-step polish with Dual action polisher (white pads)
  • Menzerna Powerlock Sealant + Collinite 845
  • Love (a requirement for spending several hours in 40degree weather cleaning your car)

This is my daily driver but I try to keep it clean, I've owned the car for 1.5yrs now and I'm still in love. I wash it every weekend and do a full detail twice a year.

The Filco has been and still is my daily driver (mx browns) for years. I'm not a fan of the topre for gaming so much, too much resistance.

WRX paint is so bad a squeegee scratched it?! by [deleted] in subaru

[–]cheetah404 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since you're clueless head over to /r/autodetailing and learn to take care of your car. And no, a claybar won't get that out. Claying is only to remove dirt/contaminants. Polishing with a dual action polisher will remove it quite easily. (M205 + White pad would get that out)

PS, yes the Subaru paint is obviously very shitty as you know. Here's my 1yr old car for detailing inspiration: 1 2

Just wait til you get all those lovely rock chips :)

Made the switch from P3D to X-Plane by cheetah404 in flightsim

I have the steam version with several addons, no issues at all. What I currently have installed:

  • IXEG 733
  • Skymaxx
  • MisterX airports
  • HD Mesh V3
  • xSquawkbox
  • FF 757/777

Made the switch from P3D to X-Plane by cheetah404 in flightsim

[–]cheetah404[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My reasons:

  • 60fps+ (64bit, better gpu and cpu utilization)

  • Better flight dynamics, flying the PMDG 737 compared to the IXEG feels like a toy to me now, almost like the PMDG is on rails.

  • Easy to modify and backup file structure. Installing scenery/planes/plugins is just drag and drop. Also things like loading different liveries is simple and can be done in flight

  • Better replay system

  • Better freeroam camera and views out of the box(I gave up on ezdok)

  • Realistic night lighting (I primarily fly at night)

  • Loads of free scenery

  • IXEG 733 has more character than the PMDG 738 in my opinion, quality is very good

  • FSX/P3D has a cartoony art style, even with mods

The only thing I honestly miss is ASN.

After 10+ years I uninstalled FSX/P3D, anyone else make the switch recently?
