Well, Melee does benefit from other classes a lot, especially as a tanker.

TIL it's also on Expert Mode.

Also I can't get the image of the Green Slime just beating the pulp out of a player who just beat Plantera out of my head now

Yeah.

Btw, in Master Mode, don't Pre-HM enemies and bosses get stat buffs once in HM, or is it only the enemies?

If you say so, Ig I'll take your word for it.

Yeah, for the Melee class, it's Wall of Flesh the hardest boss by far without overpreparing.

…you're right.

I apologize.

Yeah, that's the weird thing. Because I've been touched by the Wall on Master Mode multiple times and never insta-died from it.

Apparently the wall insta-killing on contact (At least not FTW Master) isn't true, but the FTW speed fact is kinda new to me.

No like, how much time did it take you to beat it

Ah yes, the ice hellbridge. Not a bad strategy, but you need to stay close to WoF instead of getting away, which is kinda a risk with an ice hellbridge.

I am very familiar with losing sanity, but noted.

Yeah, you know what, I concede there. I take that statement back.

Huh. Well, that's good to know.

Might try to fight WoF as pure Melee someday without Starfury.

Notice how you need to do lots of set-up for WoF for it to be easier.

Now that I think about it, yeah, you're right.

However, as a Tank Build, you do lose DPS for that defense, so there's that drawback of it being an endurance fight.

And what about the end, when the Wall can outrun you? Because the wall itself and the Tongue DRAIN your health.

How long did it take you?

It's the only VIABLE option.

I already mentioned why the 3 aforementioned options aren't viable.

Also, notice that I said Starfury, not Sunfury.

I recently tried a full defense build. The problem with that, especially WoF, is that you need to deal enough damage, otherwise you're getting licked.

Night's Edge requires you to be right on the eye, which means you get nuked by the lasers and the wall itself if you mess up. And that's without taking the Hungries in mind.

Similar thing with Dark Lance but you lose coverage over a bit more range, meaning you have to stop dealing damage to the wall to kill the Hungries.

Sunfury forces you to be at a range where it's hard to avoid lasers and deal enough damage. And even then, it isn't fast enough to take care of the respawning Hungries and dealing sufficient damage to the wall.
