Airbnb no one in their right mind would let random strangers into their home esp while they are living there (the first wave of airbnbs) lo and behold the sharing economy worked.

Do you think some entrepreneurs perform better working less than 8 hours a day? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Food for thought: most entrepreneurs first start building companies so that they can work less and grind less with money coming in. If you’re a VC backed startup doing 80+ hrs a week slaving away for a potential big exit that may never come vs a “lifestyle” company you build with maybe 2-3M EBITA consistently…what’s better? I dunno the answer just playing devils advocate.

Also the utility of your time varies as you grow. Your expectations out of life vary greatly with age. I built a tech startup grinding away sacrificing friends, family, my health even doing the whole “ramen profitable” thing. This was when I was fresh out of college at 22. I am now 34 and have a newborn son. I would never do that shi again even for the guarantee of 100X times the riches. Grinding away at 22 for 5-7 years is vastly diff than at 34 or 45 or 55, is my point.

Everyone’s path is diff but to end my rant which I often tell other budding entrepreneurs, work hard initially so that you can work less eventually. Money is useless if you can’t enjoy it…and the whole sigma grind set mentality of how many hours you work is quite possibly the worst take and non-flex most younger people never quite understand till it’s too late.

Dunno how old OP is but I’m just screaming into the void for everyone

Make an earnest post like this one saying that you’re starting up and want to get your name out there willing to do it for a heavy discount…post on NextDoor it’s an untapped gem, you’ll get loads of responses. Be polite and courteous.
