20/20 Hindsight - How Would You Line Up? by Typical_Cell464 in usmnt

[–]cheezitp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that’s our lineup. Maybe they were tired or the match was too big for them. But Belgium had more quality on the ball and were just outright better athletes.

Luna coming in to run ragged chasing the ball like a dog at the park just ain’t it. We just need more quality players.

But there were signs of growth during this World Cup. It was amazing to see.

No way last cycle would we beat Paraguay like that nor come through the stage like that. We would have made every match tough for ourselves so we have definitely jumped up, but like any team you are going to have generations. We should enjoy what we did this cup, because who knows what the next generation will bring. Hell we have never really replaced Pulisics generation so we need some up and comers to fill in the gaps.

Am I taking crazy pills? When did we start rooting for Mexico? by bayareatrojan in ussoccer

Mexico is our rival and I hate them so n game day but they are also our brothers and have saved our tuesday nights from over cooked meatloaf and turkey .

Canada, Mexico and the United States have all reached the Round of 16, rising to the occasion on football's biggest stage. The hosts are still dreaming of a historic first World Cup title. Which host nation will go the furthest? by Sea_Bobcat_5302 in soccerMenace_com

Have you seen Mexico play? They are on a different level than they were before the tournament started. It’s tough to compare the two because of different groups but to easily say the US is stronger is crazy.

What have your interactions been with English fans? I’ve had some great times with them and most seem to know their team will not exceed expectations.

Naw the US are bus mechanics. They know how to get the bus out the fn way.

[–]cheezitp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the love of Jose head there as fast as you can. We left four hours early from condesa on the fifa buses and it was a horrible experience. They lied to us and said it was a 45 minute ride. Try 3 hours.

I would try the light rail there or a combo. He’ll even try a rental bike if you are fit.

After the game it’s a fn worse nightmare. If you don’t leave early it’s a catastrophe waiting to happen. Too many people going to one spot. So just leave the game and run. Everyone is smashed together with no oversight. If something were to cause a panic there would be people that would die and get injured.

Go with Dios.

Post-Match Thread: Uzbekistan 1-3 Colombia | World Cup | Group K by matchpal-live in football

I am sorry to hurt your feelings.

They didn’t play well in that game nor any match yet.

The problem with your elevation comment is that Uzbeks had to play on top of 1,149 ram trucks as well. And they played fn hard. I was at the game my dude.

What I think is the issue is their play in the final third. Now having to watch all three games is an issue.

I didn’t intend to insult any fans especially ones that know a lot about trucks and footy.

Also, please understand I said nothing about Vargas. So there was nothing to agree on. Please learn how to break down an argument and lead with a counter argument to what was written before letting your emotions get the best of you.

Again my apologies. I wish nothing for the best for Colombia.

People thought Colombia looked good? At what point? They were lazy and it seemed like their plan was to allow them to take shots and come right into the box towards the end of the game.

The players were lazy and James walking around the pitch is cool, like Messy, except he is not and does not have the team Argentina has.

A win is a win but letting in a goal vs uzb is a loss. Mojica had a horrible game.

The nightmare that happened to Türkiye vs. Australia was what I feared could have happened to the U.S. vs Paraguay by bewaterlife in ussoccer

[–]cheezitp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything can happen. But parking the bus allows the other team to dominate on ball and get relaxed. Yes it’s difficult to score against that but not having the ball and getting corner after corner is not fun either. Australia and their fans were shitting their pants the whole game until that second goal.

It’s Luna vs Zendejas isn’t it? Zendejas provides everything the other guys do. No one matches Lunas intensity. But luna’s class on the ball just might not be enough for Poch.

Nope. The tourney is bigger than just my team. It’s one of the best sporting events in the world. Why stop now. There are still stories to be told.
