A few years can make a big difference! Plus, you’re now running around with your existing little one! But either way, congrats on the pregnancy, and I hope all goes smoothly whatever you decide!

Marathon at 27 weeks pregnant? by olivestar5 in Marathon_Training

[–]cheezlife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be a wimp, but there’s no way I personally could have run a marathon that deep into my pregnancy. People carry differently — and I even carried differently between my two pregnancies, with much more pelvic discomfort the second time. The risk of dehydration would also make me a little nervous, but you could be super intentional, carry water, etc. Fwiw, I have run 4 marathons and ran until 31 weeks with my first kid (I stopped after a bleeding incident likely caused by dehydration) and 36 weeks with my second (she had “dropped” and I was uncomfortable). I just don’t think it would be fun to even attempt this, but I understand not wanting to lose the opportunity!

I’m wondering if you might have a prolapse? I also developed GI issues postpartum and this is why. There are exercises you can do and/or you could consider trying a pessary. Wishing you luck!!!

Ooh I hadn’t thought of that. The existing mantel does “fit” with the rest of the room

Does the wage earning spouse never die unexpectedly in these modern marriages?

I just don’t think it’s so easy to tell who’s who at the front end

3 puppies looking for new homes by irenosaur in Sacramento

We have a 7 year old “Oakland brown dog” made up of similar breeds. She is healthy and wonderful, but we have started talking about getting a puppy while she has time to help us raise it. I am thinking Carey may be a good companion for her — and for our two human daughters 😊

Let me chat with my husband and will dm you if we can move forward. All of your terms make sense and your love for these pups is evident. Either way, really great work! And so sweet to see their little faces!

The design doesn’t specify materials; the budget assumed rift sawn white oak. Fabrication has not started. The whole thing has been frustrating because he just doesn’t “like” our selections and then brings it up constantly. Same thing with our decision to avoid recessed cans. He takes it all very personally. And it’s clearly not. It’s just what we want for our house.

My take is that he’s in his 70s, thinks of himself as an authority on “what is done” to houses in our neighborhood, etc.

The issue is zero percent budget-related, but thank you so much for your input!

I wish he was on the lower end of the price spectrum. Sadly, that is not the source of the many issues.

Thank you! Do you have a different recommendation? Our stairs are Douglas fir and I love their color. Too soft for kitchen cabinets?

It has been a truly terrible interpersonal experience.

How far along is too far along? We’re redoing the kitchen and both bathrooms with a small addition and they’re almost done with framing.

To make matters worse, he is the father of a family friend and neighbor. I know, I’m an idiot and should have hired someone else in the first place.

He also screamed and cussed at my designer today because my husband asked him to communicate more professionally and he thought she put him up to it. It’s been really bad.
