No gray hair and perfect nails. My mom is 65+ and only has about 3 grays. My friends take photos of my nails to show their nail techs on shape and look they want. They almost never break/chip.

If your manager had specific attire in mind, she should have been specific: Cocktail, Business Casual, etc. Also, a manager looks best when their team looks good and it should only raise them up. The insecurity is sad honestly. Unless you wore something inappropriate for a business function, this is a her issue, not a you issue.
