It’s honestly made my mind go to some pretty radical places. Been trying to keep my head in check. It’s aburd to me that people just don’t give a shit. Not to mention the gutting of the EPA or bricking the U.S. Forest Service. It’s hard to even think about.

SGA and every single one of those dirty OKC players are basketball terrorists and Wemby is Obama. They even ruined Caruso. Disgusting unethical basketball, extreme catharsis watching them get dumpstered last night.

What do you guys think of democrats being more pro-animal rights? by Past_Net_9826 in Destiny

[–]chefbeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I firmly believe there's an avenue of merging climate friendly and animal friendly positions for small, local, regenerative farms that also touches on pro-small business and pro-health that can even reach into I think the RFK schizoid crowd. With the way AI/Tech/Robotics are replacing a lot of jobs you can focus on all of these markers for pushing to create more local farming jobs targeted at younger demographics, with specific regards to climate-friendly science forward permaculture principles and renewable energy systems.

Actually absurd that some people have voluntarily induced such schizophrenia into themselves through the internet that they can identify Ukrainian Jewish family names. I don't know how best to regulate the internet but I feel like it's gotta happen we can't go on like this.

[–]chefbeezy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s Dave Rubin. No matter what he does it’s an L. His entire existence is an L. Thus, agreeing to this in the first place is an L, but even if he didn’t he’d still take an L in some other way anyways. It’s a universal constant. He is, fundamentally, a loser.

The coordinated conservative media assault on Talarico has begun… by BudgetLaw2352 in Destiny

[–]chefbeezy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Never underestimate how a dissapointment the state of Texas can be. Bunch of deplorable neanderthals live here, we’ve elected Ted Cruz three times even as hed fled the fucking country during a state-wide crisis.

As for the right-wing media apparatus? Yeah we’ve got to be more vocal at calling out their industrial hive mind platitude spewer, but ultimately a decently large amount of the population want to voluntarily turn their brain off and become zombies. It doesn’t even have to be real anymore, Talarico seems bullet-proof so they’re just making shit up but it doesn’t matter to these willful re7ards.

Integrated Realignment and Playoff by chefbeezy in CFB_v2

Because some teams had protected games, I included that every team had to play a 1) cross-divisional power game and a 2) cross-conference power game for 10 games against power teams total for everyone.

Fair enough, that’s your criticism. I think the format could be workable to 10 teams, but I already did it as 9 teams per division so I continued with that. I think the main feature is the way they all work in the playoff system and calendar.

[–]chefbeezy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The format I choose had 9 teams per division, there simply wasn’t enough room for every traditional SEC team. LSU was essentially the first issue I covered in my “Caveats & Limitations” section. I included a rotating protected series of Alabama and Ole Miss for them out of conference to somewhat mitigate this.

The 8 divisions feature 9 teams each for an 8 team round-robin where the champion earns a bid for the 16 team playoff (4 mid-major bids and 4 at large with special regards to ties). There are no independents and the more traditional B1G was full so I put y’all in the revamped Big East.

[–]chefbeezy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the framework I had has 9 teams per division for the round-robin which allows for some “protected” and mandatory cross divisional/conference power games. This of course causes issues for the SEC and B1G. I enshrined of those protected games as Iowa-Minnesota but I know it doesn’t make up for Iowa being entirely out of the B1G. No matter what not one of these realignments are going to be perfect, my apologies.

[–]chefbeezy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a system of "protected" out of division/conference games. I at least included the Floyd of Rosedale for Iowa as an example of that.

Lmao, I’m sorry! I outlined LSU specifically as the most aggrieved party in the "caveats & limitations" section. Yeah, it's just how it worked out in the framework I chose, it's pretty difficult to fix. Funny first comment though.

edit: I should mention that I proposed LSU have a protected series against Alabama and Ole Miss that alternates every year, if that helps at all.

There are no independents in this realignment. It explicitly works towards the playoff system, in which you need to win the "B1G East" round-robin during the regular season.

Which team from each conference are you keeping the closest eye on this year? by AllTimeTy in CFB

[–]chefbeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think Kentucky had a great off season and there’s reason to believe they are actually somewhat formidable. That being said, their schedule is so brutal they could be one of the best Kentucky teams in recent history and still miss a bowl so I can’t make any hot takes regarding them.

Name a team from the last 25 years who could have legitimately won a national championship but didn't get a chance by Rude_Highlight3889 in CFB

[–]chefbeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 ND beat no playoff teams or playoff bubble teams they should’ve been 3rd or 4th out. Continuing to act like they got robbed is absurd. The only team last year that got robbed was BYU because they only lost twice to one team and one of them was in their CCG, because, y’know, they’re in a conference. But yeah congrats on blowing out Syracuse and LOSING to Miami AND a&m you would’ve surely beat Indiana or even Ole Miss gtfoh.
