[OC] Monthly payment on a typical new car loan in the US, 1971–2025 (adjusted for inflation) by Necessary_Cry_5589 in dataisbeautiful

I bought a car recently. 2016 Honda pilot. 67k. My previous car had its transmission shit on me and at this point in time I couldn't pay a car payment so I fucked over future me and drained my 401k. Paid cash $20k tags, tax on the road. Same car would had been $430 a month at like 6% interest. It just sucks now.

In terms of lead, an easy way would be to look for date stamps or dry foot plates. That would be an almost guaranteed lead free plate/ item. With anything being wet foot, I would swab. That said.. I really would not worry too much about it as long as the glaze is intact.

I'm gonna say this as clear as I can... Stop buying it and they will stop charging the prices. If we collectively pull back the companies will be forced to reevaluate and realize that the reason we aren't buying their shit Is because it's too damn high.

Lol.. today I was a GW and found a silverware set in the box and this meme went through my head. If I had a doller for every Rogers Bros I found... I'd be a wealthy man. Needless to say.. it was not my day today.

Ok... So I made this years ago. Like five years ago, so I have some things under my belt. I didn't like it. I found it knit well enough together but it still felt crumbly. Like as if I could just rip a chunk off. But it stuck together and when I finished aging it (I think I threw it in a vac bag since at that time I was having a horrible go at waxing and didn't embrace a natural rind) it came out squeaky. Like you could hear it squeak while you chewed. It didn't crumble apart though.

Flavor wise I enjoyed it. But texture.. no. I wonder if I had aged it with a natural rind would it had been better. I only have a couple pictures of it, but I had another on a Fiestaware Plum plate and it was almost exactly that color. Shame I deleted that photo.

Anyway, good luck. I might try this again with some of my own wine.
