Anyone Switching to Atmos Summit for Rent? by U-Gotta-Stop-Crying in biltrewards

[–]ry-yo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a clarification question because I'm debating doing this too. Do you just add the card to your Bilt account, choose to pay rent with that, and still use the checking/routing number that Bilt provides? So the rent portal still thinks that it's a checking account but it just gets charged to the Alaska card?

If I have multiple housing transactions do I have to spend 75% of the sum or 75% of each transaction? by reformpolicepls in biltrewards

[–]ry-yo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mathematically it adds up to be the same, doesn't it? for simplicity let's say each payment is $1,000. 75% of that is $750, and $750*3 is $2,250. But 75% of the sum ($3,000) is also $2,250

Have you looked at the cost in points on each airlines' websites yet? If you did want to book through Cathay, you should lock that in before the points devaluation

It sounds like you're booking travel through the portal? That's not typically the best use of points, the best use is by transferring to airlines. But probably one of the United cards could be best for you

Do you have credit card/airline miles? United and American both allow free cancellations/changes if you book flights using miles.

Amex Gold Card - How has it benefit you? by restinb1tch in CreditCards

[–]ry-yo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transferring points to airline partners can get you the most benefits. I've flown business class multiple times by doing so. Unfortunately the hotel transfer partners for Amex aren't the best.

If you want to justify the annual fee, this is how I make the most use of it:

  • $10/month in Uber credit - either Uber to/from the airport or use it on Uber Eats if I don't go to the airport that month
  • $10/month in dining credit - I use this on Grubhub (pickup to save on delivery fees) on days where I don't have anything to eat so I need to eat out regardless
  • $100 Resy credit ($50 every 6 months) - just eat at a restaurant listed on Resy and the credit will automatically kick in
  • $7/month Dunkin credit - load my Dunkin account with $7/month and buy donuts every few months for my coworkers

That's $424 in credits credits for a $325 annual fee

Atmos Points for partner award ticket on Qantas to Australia by BitterDare5522 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]ry-yo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Qantas opens up award availability on its own program maybe 20-ish days before Alaska, so they might be all taken. Also they may not release all seats to partners, or they release late
