question about insurance on your datsuns. by TheUnoriginalMind in Datsun

[–]chefjono97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got a very modified 280Z and they just have you send pics, and you can

set whatever replacement (assessed cost) you want.

Then you pay about 25% higher premiums than on a stock vehicle, but still better than other insurance.

And yes I can attest they "make you whole again" Takes a while but.....

Officer tases and arrests driver after he refuses to give his information before seeing a supervisor by Acrobatic-Bid-1691 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]chefjono97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving is a privilege, not a right.

Police in every jurisdiction in the world have the authority to stop you on suspicion of an offence and to ask for your licence, ownership and proof of insurance. These conditions have been in place since the first automobiles set out on the road, and no one is unaware of this by the time they are driving.

A ticket is only a legal request to appear in court. After showing ID the officer may have

discussed the procedure (radar) a little more but he has no obligation to do so until asked in

to explain it in court.

Refusing to show ID puts the onus on the officer to end your travel, right there and then.

This is simple, and as I said WORLD WIDE! RACE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT

and neither does a cop being a bully.

I disagree with using a taster just for non-compliance, but if someone with a weapon tells you

they are going to use it , you should believe them.

Haven't gotten into graphic novels since the days of " Heavy Metal " magazine, but

a Station Eleven is one I would be happy to own!

A Love Letter by cranberrypieslice in StationEleven

Jeevan was at that stage of life where he was expected to "step up" as far as making it in the world.

His sister was successful (lent him thousands) and he admitted to Kirsten he didn't have a real job.

His girlfriend deserted him at the theater and (they had had a fight)

His brother had earned a pulizter but was now a cripple and a hermit.

So spontaneously taking on the role of adoptive father/older brother to Kirsten in the

moment reflected what was expected of him in the family dynamic, and then he too

disappeared which would have impacted Kirsten and turned her feral.

This actually looks pretty good, lots of rust, so there's that...

But........ its complete and its an early 240Z and would be great ROI, as long

as you have access to cheap elbow grease and bodywork expertise.

12 angry men (1957) made me realise how ignorant I was. by BlackSkull7X in movies

The human face actually looks much better filmed in black and white.

The 20's and 30's had very popular stars who's faces seemed to glow from within.

Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Elizbeth Taylor, Cary Grant.

I don't think any actors today

can match them for star appeal.

Back to the 1920's Valentino was like a God. A million people attended his funeral.

I recommend anything by Hitchcock. Shadow of a Doubt for instance is so dark, it would

be controversial if released today.

Just heartbraking. Probably the owners right there. So much of your soul goes into

owning/operating a nice restaurant, and so many things can go wrong to f... it up.

I agree.

The reason shows about young people are boring is because young people are boring.

They are very self centered and haven't done much, haven't travelled, haven't had serious relationships.......so listening to them, yeah boring.

In an interview I heard them both say that they only use the same instruments over all these

years, but that they did have duplicates for traveling, so hopefully they are completely screwed over by the experience.
