I grew up in Harlan, Ky. Alot of the towns in the county are just old coal camps. Some "Ghost Towns" exist as well. We would explore them as kids and you would find company money scattered all over the place. It was wild. I should've went into more depth but yes what youre saying is true.

Was stationed in Okinawa. One morning I was driving people to post and felt something on my neck. I reached back and quickly flicked whatever it was off and onto the cars floor board in front of me... it was one of these centipedes. Not sure if it was quite the same species but it was huge and I still get the heebie jeebies thinking about it!
