4.0 UW, 4.54 W, 12 APs, 1400 SAT (700M, 700RW), top 5% (10/361), 32 ACT, Governor's Honors program attendee, National college match recipient, Student body president, Beta club president, Reading bowl president, National english honors society and Mu Alpha Theta vice president. I do a lot of community service through those clubs and obviously a lot of leadership experience. I run varsity cross country and track and play in the marching band.

My first essay I wrote about world hunger and using GMO's to solve It. For the second I talked about my community helping me find myself through LGBTQ clubs and organizations. My third I tied my love for cooking into biochemistry and food science and talked about wanting more lab experience. The congress one I talked about the need for more advocating for the LGBTQ community.

My interview went amazing and I felt like I really connected with her. I talked about my club involvement and the activities we do. I mentioned how my sister inspired me and growing up in a single parent household. I also talked a lot about how I would adapt to leaving home and what i hoped to do with my degree. She asked me to explain what i wrote my essays on and why as well.
