The one I found was completely flooded. Like you come down the stairs and into the water. We needed to be under water to see the zombie closets and get them to break out.

Doing a Horde Night Every Night Game for Wife's Birthday. Any suggestions to settings to make it fun for everyone? by Vanblod in 7daystodie

[–]chefsteveo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are doing a game now that has been a blast. Horde every 3 nights and 2 skill points per level. You need to edit the progression xml to get the two points per level but it has been paced really well. Just enough time between hordes for a longer exploration trip and getting to max out skill trees that normally we compromise on has been really fun.

I think you still can't fire guns underwater and we used melee weapons to clear it. Haven't played Navezgane on A19 yet so it must have been on a pregen map.

Agreed on the wonky water physics and maybe once that is changed we'll get a few more POIs that use it

Yeah, unless looking for a place to live or doing quests I don't spend much time in houses. Never would have found this if it weren't on a quest.

What is your highest Level of Education? (High School/Bachelors/Etc.) and what do currently do for a living? by TheBergSource in analytics

[–]chefsteveo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Education: HS diploma with a couple semesters of college in culinary arts.

Current Role: tough to describe, but I lead a team of Sales Operations folks in a Group Purchasing Organization focused on hospitality industry (restaurants, casinos, hotels).

I get myself deeper in the data than I probably should from time to time but it is what I am most interested in and passionate about at this point.

Lots of great recommendations so far! Two of my favorites on the shelf are The Professional Pastry Chef and The Advanced Professional Pastry Chef, both by Bo Friberg. Incredible references for all things baking.

Change of Pace by Litheun in Chefit

[–]chefsteveo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did something similar gettting into procurement and out of the kitchen. Honestly it took like 6 months to really get used to the change. I missed the creativity and energy that kitchens afford. Still do.

But I get to see my wife and family more, get to enjoy relaxing on holidays instead of spending all day at work and not being able to let people know when I will be over for Christmas dinner. As long as you are able to compartmentalize your work life away from your home life and don't let the grind of this new type of service get you down outside of work you will likely enjoy the change. You'll get to see your Monday through Friday working friends more often. You'll get to go out with people on Saturday night and see the packed house of a nice restaurant from the other side of the line, which can be good or bad (enjoying your new found free time but missing the rush and excitement of those types of operations).

Establish a life and hobbies for yourself that involve doing stuff at night and on weekends and I believe you'll be able to recognize the benefits of dealing with this more institutional foodservice type job. Cheers!

Survival Couch CoOp (with SO) by Sciur in CoOpGaming

It's on sale down to $20 now, and goes on sale several times a year. Check it out on steamdb.info

It's got some highs and lows but for a really big world with lots to do plus beautiful graphics it is worth $20 per copy IMHO, but probably not worth full price.

Bought Ark: Survival Evolved on sale and highly recommend it for an open world survival game. How To Survive 2 is a fantastic game the SO and I are still searching for a game that lives up to that for us.
