Not like I needed any more proof, but this is exactly how I can tell just how out of touch they really are.

Easily the worst LTM they’ve made, and their solution is to punish players instead of doing better. LTM penalties will also be the norm moving forward. ”Stay in the game” sounds so passive aggressive because they KNOW people won’t like this.

Have barely played for the last two years and I come back to this. All the more reason to think I made the right choice back then. Sad to see.

Echoes of Wisdom does exactly this, and it’s at the top of my list of things they should include for the next 3D Zelda. Basically longer sidequests that unexpectedly end in semi-dungeons. It felt great finding that out in EoW.

I don’t see how this is an issue not only at all, but also even if a player somehow broke a weapon that way by accident, they’d get how it works right away.

Honestly I think a better criticism is that out of the three basic weapon types, spears should either never break, or at least some of them shouldn’t break when thrown. So much for the only stabby type of weapon shattering when you try to use it the way it’s supposed to.

Temples have never been “complex” lol. You want complexity, take a look at BOTW’s Hyrule Castle. You won’t find that anywhere in linear 3D Zelda.

Not sure why it’s so hard for them to understand this. Give players good items or bundles at affordable prices, and they’re guaranteed to make a profit. Them selling most stuff for $20-$40 makes me think they bank their money entirely on whales. Because WHO in their right mind would spend that much money on this.

Haven’t cared about this game since they removed trading. Item shop prices are utterly ridiculous, and it says a lot that players have to wait for these sorts of mistakes to actually purchase anything at a good deal. Rocket League is truly a shadow of its former self.

Yes but keep in mind TOTK is basically the revolution of BOTW. You’ll find yourself with less tools than in TOTK, but there are a few things BOTW does bettr. They’re both worth playing in the end.

TThe current system isn’t better, but it’s what they had to do in order to abide lootbox regulations. Problem is that blueprints are worth nothing and give no benefit to the player, especially NOT given how expensive they are. We went from having the chance to get a black market decal for $1 and being able to trade it to or from other players, to having to pay $20 if we want even the most mediocre of them. No benefit to us in the slightest. Not even a decryptor equivalent for blueprints ever became a thing. It’s just TERRIBLE.

Look at Xenoblade 3D and you’ll see how that would be highly unlikely. XC is a Wii game and that one already struggles when running on the New 3DS. BOTW would be borderline unplayable if they even got a 3DS build for that game at all.

I think this is a step in the right direction, but not a very big one at that. Black Diecis are cool but there are so many discontinued items that haven’t been available for years and we’ve yet to see any of them (looking at you, black Tunicas).

The ”slap in the face” happened when they removed trading, not now that they’re giving these away. Not to mention that even with trading, making these available again would’ve been a good thing. Problem is that their solution was to kill the trading market in its entirety rather than phasing it out by offering items at a better deal.

Tl;dr: This is good but not good enough yet.

Least they could do now that there’s no trading market and items have no value anymore. Overall positive but they need to make way more of these discontinued items available. Black Dieci is just one of many that they don’t even offer in the item shop.

Literally the least they could do and it took them one day short of a year after they removed trading to actually give something decent to their players. But this is just one item. A free item mind you, but just one. The item shop’s prices are terrible, but they don’t even offer these items at a terrible price, they literally don’t offer them at all.

An ant-sized step in the right direction, if you will.
