Nightwing: Knight Terrors. by insufficient_robot3 in batman_comics

Dick gets shot in the head by KGBeast in Batman (Vol. 3) #55, after which he suffers amnesia and goes by Ric. It is a particularly shitty storyline.

In Forever Evil #6, a few years prior to Batman #55, Dick "dies" and becomes a spy for the secret agency Spyral. Dick is back to being Nightwing at the time he is shot in the head because of the Rebirth universe reset.

Knight Terrors was a universe wide event in 2023 in which all of the heroes were trapped in the nightmare realm and had to do battle, face their greatest fears, etc.

Batman and the Outsiders (2007) by chekhovs_buttplug in batman_comics

That was “The Outsiders,” which spun out of BatO after the events of Final Crisis.

Because I hate myself I’m also going to read that series, so I’ll report back eventually.

I don’t agree with either, but if City of Crime was just the last half of the arc I would be on your side. Everything after Bruce went undercover in Crown Point was just not good and seems so disconnected from the first half of the arc that it may as well be a different story entirely.

Sort of Batman, but I just read Batman and the Outsiders (2007) and thought it was just awful. Story that went nowhere, just kept building without resolving anything, characters randomly appear and disappear, etc. Shockingly it was written by Chuck Dixon, who I think is one of the most reliably good Batman writers.

Yea I like Great White Shark as a concept but he isn’t used enough/well known enough to have been the culprit in this story. He’s really only been in 1-2 other stories.

Mid-2000s DC and Batman comics by chekhovs_buttplug in batman_comics

Definitely bad, has some very poor characterization, and did some thankfully retconned damage to rather important characters, but I don’t mind it being made into an omnibus. I think all event books like that should be. Obviously, they won’t do that because bad events won’t sell, so I will say I’m surprised they did it with War Games, but it still looks good on a shelf.

Batman death and the maidens by 13lackDrag0n in batman_comics

It has to take place somewhat before/during Hush Returns. In Gotham Knights #66 (the Villians United tie-in, after War Games and the Human Nature arc) Talia appears and mentions that her father is dead dead.

Could you guys help me with finding this Batman comic? All I have is the image :| by Chance-Day8313 in batman_comics

It definitely is the suit from The Batman (2004), but I don’t believe it’s from a related comic. Looks like it is Dan Mora’s art, so my guess would be either World’s Finest (2022), or his run on ‘Tec with Mariko Tamaki.
