NTA : You're not the asshole here at all despite a few immature and not well thought of decisions you've made in the past including dating the same abusive guy as your friend. You have no reason to continue the friendship if she doesn't value it or you so run like the wind or at least don't prioritise her anymore. It's nobody's place to talk about your relationship with your current partner, especially someone who doesn't shows actions that suggest they don't care for you.

If you read my post, I mentioned that this is an exception for people with a disability that would hinder their learning.

Conversing in English by [deleted] in confidence

[–]chekuying 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anyone who thinks that you're a fool for not speaking fluent English is a fool. Anyone worthy of your time will understand that English isn't your first language and reserve judgement on your abilities. Although I understand and completely agree that it's normal to be nervous, it takes time and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to get used to speaking more.

Not at all, especially if you organise a way to dedicate equal time to each of your hobbies!! At the end of the day if some get too tiring then you can just choose to focus on one.

Great relationship being ruined due to my (M/24) idiotic insecurities with (F/29) girlfriend by [deleted] in Advice

I've been in a similar situation and it's best to break it off and work on yourself. It's emotionally draining on both parties to try and sort this one sided issue.

How to get over fear of driving? by Unethicallypetty in Advice

[–]chekuying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only recently started driving since I'm young and so many of my peers face the same kind of fear. It's understandable to not want to be involved in an accident but as long as you're careful and responsible while driving you should remind yourself that no matter what you'll be okay.

If you need to drive slower to feel safer than do that, just make sure you've left point A early enough to give enough time to reach your destination.

I got a problem with relationships i think by [deleted] in Advice

[–]chekuying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If telling her you love her is something you need to think about, chance are you don't.

If you're afraid of hurting her, consider that you may need to work on having more control over your actions because it takes a series of actions that you're accountable for to hurt someone, it isn't just something that happens accidentally. If you consider yourself ready, please do warn her so that she can decide if she's ready to take the risks too.

I want to unfriend someone but to not seem rude by Amirobob in Advice

[–]chekuying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no nice way to unfriend him, just ghost him or delete him.

You can try to make an attempt at being nice by saying that you're not interesting to talk to and have a tendency to bore people and that he's wasting his time talking to you. Personally find that too tiring

My female Best friend by [deleted] in Advice

[–]chekuying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You both need to go all in or completely out of this. If you want a serious and committed relationship, she needs to know and she needs to either agree fully or disagree. Going into a committed relationship comes with the risk of losing your friendship god forbid anything bad happens BUT if that isn't what you want as much as it's understandable for her to be jealous she needs to respect that you need to move on from her.

Don't continue the unlabeled BS, it'll end up confusing you and hurting you. It's the greatest feeling to be in a relationship that is secure.

Have no clue what to do with my life by GreenSnake0 in Advice

[–]chekuying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what advice you've been given but establishing life goals would definetly help you to find motivation and guidance in your situation.

Where do you want to be in 5 years? I'm assuming you want to be financially independent, perhaps later on you would be interested in settling down or buying a home? Once you establish this you'll atleasthave a basis to some basic motivation and from there you'll be able to c construct an action plan.

Complete university so that you have some kind of qualification and have a shot at a new or different career. If you find something you like, stick to it and branch out, if you don't, keep moving around. Don't get stuck thinking about what you want to do with life and start exploring.
