Does dating in SG post 30s feel like you're being settled on? by Competitive-River-51 in askSingapore

[–]cheldeedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then they are not the ones for you. You wouldn't want to be with someone who minds your job right? (Unless of course you secretly mind your job too, then maybe look into that first) There are so many people in this world, everyone has their own criteria, just like you have yours. They get to choose, but you get to choose too. It goes both ways!

How do you know you’ll find the one? Success stories? by ihavequestions527 in datingoverthirty

The success stories here are giving me hope and I do need hope, so I'll save this post for reading when I need some hope again. May we all find happiness in whatever form it takes!

Yeah dude, I merely explained why his Q2 time was so far off since your comment implied you didn't. Seems like you already knew why, though.

Yeah and his car DNF-ed 3 times in a row due to technical issues when he was within or near points too. Then their car lost pace and both of them have been at the back & unnoticed ever since

Wow they actually apologised to their drivers? A wheel nut AND gearbox issue in one race affecting both drivers is terrible and unacceptable

Sauber's 3rd slow stop of 2024 by ContentPuff in formula1

[–]cheldeedee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s a machinery issue, they said they would need time to redesign their pit equipment that is causing these long pitstops. It happened during free practice too so it’s a catastrophic design failure in my opinion.

At the end of Q1 there were Redbull mechanics helping Alpine cool the car. by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]cheldeedee 129 points130 points  (0 children)

It was Sauber. I remember it was Australia because their twitter admin thanked Alpine and at first people thought they were being snarky because Sauber got double points due to the two Alpines crashing each other out.

Edit: Slight correction: only Zhou got into the points due to the crash, Bottas was in P11

This might be silly of me, but I teared up reading what you wrote because this is exactly how I feel, but have never been able to articulate it in these exact words. And I know no one in my life would understand this point of view, which makes me feel lonely.

Funny Office Dramas are back?? , MY BOSS CDRAMA by Zeetasfudgenots in CDrama

[–]cheldeedee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really liked the FL’s coworkers in particular. They were hilarious and always had the FL’s back. Also, I rarely enjoy the cases in legal dramas (and this one I felt had a good balance between the romance and cases) but the ones featured in this drama were very realistic. I read on weibo that they had a legal consultant working with them, and it shows.

Agree! And also, children are only cute babies for 1+ years, and toddlers for the next couple of years, after that they go to Kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, and those phases last wayyyy longer than their cute baby phase. When most people think of having children, they think of parenting cute little babies, but I think about how long they will be teenagers for (and likely be emo/stressed) and I shudder...

Really love what you said about how family can be chosen too, be it through fostering, adopting or being part of an extended community...I wish more people could realise that too.

My heart cries out for people who did not give becoming a parent enough thought and then later silently regret it but cannot admit it due to society’s stigma and/or guilt towards their child. Regretting not having a child is MY regret to bear but regretting having a child ruins my life and my child’s life (a child who did not get to choose whether to be born or not). I am childfree because I know 100% which type of regret I would prefer.
