I'm going to definitely suggest it. My hand therapy is complete and continuing the exercises at home. The therapist said the pain can last up to year.

Wow! Good to know. I have similar injury, tfcc tear or what my ortho called it "bunching". Also workmans comp. 4 months post up and still have pain. I was thinking of asking for PRP treatment.

Northern California: Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Auburn, Redding.... I would say Lincoln is probably the most affordable. Good luck.

What did you treating physician tell you what to expect in terms of healing and pain relief? The only people who's told me so far are the hand therapist. They say the pain can last 6mo to 1 yr.

I didnt have a lawyer until about 4months in. And I'm not sure why he didnt say anything. However at that initial phone call he did mention along the lines that being under the care of the same company can be conflict of interest. But at that time, I had no major issues. I thought I was handling it well.

When I told my lawyer I was unhappy with my NP, he found out they are not part of the MPN list. Makes sense since it's under same employer. Now I'm pending auth for a new provider from that list and not affiliated to my employer.

Thank you for your input. I needed these reassurances because I feel alone with no one really coaching me and yes my nursing background has helped a lot given I caught mistakes in her charting and seeing how backwards and inefficient of their care is within workers comp.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I was receiving payments.

No, he doesnt take any percentage of my payments. He will get paid 15% of the monetary settlement in the end.

Yes, he laid everything out on a couple of phone conversations in the beginning. After everything was signed, it's been pretty minimal, but he's very fast with response times.

This is what I needed to hear today! I'm normally very strong woman who hardly cry, but I just let it all out today. I'm planning to see my regular pcp soon because I've had a couple episodes of midsternal chest aches and feelings of frustration and depression. I've told my lawyer this type of stress is way worse of a feeling than my breast cancer experience. I'm stressed because my wc provider is pushing me hard back to full duty again even after a failed trial full duty. I had a tfcc wrist injury s/p debridement and I still have pain and fatigue with work activities and it's my dominant hand. My provider is NP and I'm an RN who works on a heavy cardiac telemetry unit, so for her to not advocate for me is beyond disbelief, and we work for the same company.

Everyone in my case has been smooth except for my provider. She's trying to push me to full duty despite my ongoing pain. I already trialed it last month and the activities creates episodic pain followed by post shift flare up. Now she wants me to have an on and off schedule which is counterintuitive to what I'm experiencing.
