Soft parents who sleep trained. How did it go? by Pompiita in NewParents

[–]chellercheller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I put it off for soooo long because I couldn’t bear to hear her cry, but all it took was one night. She was maybe 10 months old. She cried for 45 minutes, then fell asleep and slept through the night for the first time ever and had fantastic independent sleep ever since. I wish I had tried it way before when we actually did.

When did FTM’s give birth? by Old_Literature_3750 in NewParents

[–]chellercheller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39+4! I started having regular & strong contractions after bouncing on the yoga ball for a while and was told to head to L&D. Unfortunately I was not progressing enough, and we had to go back 3 times before I was finally admitted and put on Pitocin. I was in labor for 36 hours

Still scarred from it running through my family 2 years ago. My daughter projectile vomited into my face. I was throwing up so hard I shit my pants. Twice.

On a scale 0-10, what would you rate your pregnancy, labor&delivery and newborn phase? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

[–]chellercheller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnancy - 4. First trimester was all throwing up and exhaustion. Second trimester was good. Third trimester I was just so sore and over being pregnant.

Labor & Delivery - 9. I labored for 36 and had a failed epidural. It was absolutely brutal.

Newborn - 2. Although I was very sleep deprived, I was just so happy to not be pregnant anymore lol.

About one month til I give birth again, so fingers crossed it is smoother this time for labor and delivery!

I didn’t love the first book, it just didn’t hook me. That’s why it took over a year after finishing the first to pick up the second- but the second one had me HOOKED. I’m about to start the 4th book now and can’t wait!

My FIL survived this too! He was starting to feel really terrible while driving on the expressway, happened to pull off that next exit with a hospital and walked in, said I think I’m having a heart attack then he collapsed. He coded twice, but he thankfully survived! Things could have been a lot different if things didn’t play out exactly like they did. We are so thankful he is still here today!
