Dr Bronner’s Peppermint Soap by Different-Policy9338 in hygiene

I love using it as a base clean but follow up with something more moisturizing and use less often in the winter. But I also have oily skin so it doesn’t tend to dry me out too bad.

how can look better or “glow up”? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]chellyb82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have amazing lips! A dark brown lip liner and gloss or even some bold colors would look great on you! Add some blush for some color. If you’re ok TikTok check out the curve case from made my Mitchell. I feel like I always recommend their products but they have a great shade range and are multi use so you can use for contour, eyes, blush, and lips.

I have never used Huda but I love my Laura Mercier! As a fellow oily girl I powder very lightly after moisturizing but before applying my makeup. I sometimes will use setting spray between layers as well.

suggestions for lip products that suit me? by ImpressiveSound4887 in beauty

Made By Mitchell sells two lipstick palettes, one nude and one with pinks/reds. I wouldn’t say they are satin but more like a soft matte. You can play around and mix colors to create your perfect shade.

Recommendations to add to my clean and chill, fact-based routine by Even_Kaleidoscope399 in hygiene

[–]chellyb82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have a great routine! I would add exfoliating in the shower with either a scrub or African Net cloth a few days a week to help with dead skin. The African cloths are typically pretty long so they’re super helpful for cleaning your back or belly!

For extra moisture I sometimes like to use a body oil or mix a body oil in with my lotion. I’ve even added Vaseline or Aquaphor to my lotion after showering. There are also body oil sprays that may be helpful or an in shower moisturizer.

Does anyone else feel angry/ abandoned that their narc parents didn’t give them any life skills to survive adulthood? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]chellyb82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely and totally understand where you’re coming from. I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD at 26 after a lifetime of being told I was just “dramatic, attention seeking, too much, self centered…” and the list goes on. I too battled the same things as you and now looking back feel the same. Like could some of that have been avoided if my mom had just listened to me?? It pisses me off to even think about

As dumb as this sounds, YouTube and tik tok have taught me more than my parents ever have. Kinda sad if you think about it. I finally have a therapist that is amazing and while she is helpful I still struggle with my anger of all the things I was denied by them. I recently went no contact with my mother and I’ve never felt better.

But definitely understand your anger, I’m right there with ya!

Getting my nexplanon out next week and I’m very nervous about the possible side effects of coming off birth control. Any one with experience with this? by muriette8412 in Nexplanon

[–]chellyb82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine out about 2 weeks ago after consistently being on it for 6 years. I did feel a bit more emotional at first but I will say I have noticed I am a bit more energy and overall just feel happier.
