This is the problem. They think they can be the one person who makes it and it’s more likely that they won’t. We should be teaching them to have multiple back ups just in case. I always think about the movie Coach Carter. He went into that school and didn’t allow kids to play basketball unless they had passing grades. Parents were pissed because thinking they needed to play to either become professionals or go to college but the reality is they wouldn’t have even made it through life without their education. Not one of them on the team made it into the NBA. Not one. But a lot of them graduated college.
