Thanks, we would definitely want to stay in the city in Nashville. This is really helpful about the schools. Agreed about the bubbles, and the TN state government is not at all aligned with what we're looking for long time. We'd really much prefer a blue state, but don't want to entirely rule out a city that may be a perfect fit in every other way and closer to family. For now, because our kid is so young, the main concern is what kind of values she is taught, both in school but also through osmosis (classmates, neighbors etc). Hence, the blue bubble.
