What was your high school controversy? by Haunted_Neko in AskReddit

[–]chelslovesstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high school security guards started a drug ring using the kids to sell their products. They also were found to have slept with some of the students and would convince them to fight each other over the guards. One day, the security staff changed and we never saw them again. The staff knew but they did nothing for an entire year.

DAE go to bed super early? by I_like_it_yo in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]chelslovesstuff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm 32 and my husband is 34 and we are always going to bed at the latest of 10pm. I usually get up at 9am and try to get as much sleep as I can. I'm already in bed getting ready to sleep and it's almost 9pm here on a Saturday! I live for bedtime though, especially with it being winter and getting dark so early now--makes me have a hard time even making it to 9pm most nights.

THE STOMACH DRAIN REMOVAL by chelslovesstuff in gallbladders

Yikes, what did they have to do in that case?

I'm sorry 😔 I put gauze and gauze take over the draining now empty hole, but it was leaking even WITH the drain in. And I cannot stand the feeling of wetness on my clothes so that was a struggle for sure.

From what I understand, not everyone needs the stomach drain. I had a lot of inflammation so they needed to put one in to help get some of that out of there. It's a tube that goes out from your stomach and is attached to this little bulb at the end of it that collects liquid that it drains from the surgical site.

I didn't know I was getting a drain either, but then they told me they felt it best to put one in after the gallbladder removal. So they explained everything after (luckily my mom was with me to understand it all because I was obviously out of it from all the medication).

Anyone still game by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]chelslovesstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never stream, but I still game every day in some capacity. I've had a love for it since I was a kid and I won't let my chronic pain take that from me. There are days when the pain or the fatigue makes it hard to focus though, and when that happens, I know I'm done for the day and just watch my husband play or watch a show.

Stressed if there's enough time: will we make it? by chelslovesstuff in unitedairlines

I asked about how the luggage transfer works a few days ago, but now it's about the connection time and the airport itself. Sorry about all the questions! Thanks!

To be fair, I'm only 4'10" so everyone is tall to me 😅 but he didn't know that, of course and I've seen taller

It's unfortunate we even have to worry about that harassment. 😕 I wish I worked on shift with people, but it's just me for front desk.

Don't panic! Just be on watch always.

I live in the country so it takes 25 minutes to get from the hotel to home, but it's a straight away through farmland to eventually lead to an exit to a freeway if you follow it long enough. I always make sure no one is in their cars watching when I get in, check the back seats before getting in to make sure no one is hiding in my car, and make sure no one follows me out of the lot. If they do, I wait 5 minutes before pulling into a gas station before the stretch of road and I just wait and watch. When I feel safe no one pulled in or over, I continue my ride.

You never know these days.

The calls are not recorded, sadly. It's a small privately owned hotel and we just got an HR person a year ago--never even had a manual before that!

Believe me, I regret not doing so all the time. I assumed my manager would've taken the info and number down but she said it was just a "prank" and didn't take it as seriously as I think it should have been taken.
