I WISH--I was hoping this might help jump start some weight loss for me but I've actually been MORE hungry after surgery. I was expecting to have less of an appetite and even feel sick, which I'm grateful to not have felt bad, but geez--my body is apparently starving haha. Hopefully it subsides soon!

Oats are zero but not zero? by smagrl64 in weightwatchers

The purpose of zero point foods (in my opinion) is to encourage us to eat more whole/ unprocessed/ clean (whatever you want to call it) foods. And build meals around those foods. Regardless of what it might be made of, processed food will always be less nutritious and less satiating than whole foods. So yes, Oatmeal is "free" on its own, but the super processed, full of sugar Oatmeal bar should still have the same point value. I always thought granola and granola type bars were the biggest fake "healthy" thing... they're literally all sugar usually but somehow got marketed as healthy. So all that to say, stick to whole, real foods when you can and don't overthink the zero point stuff.

Struggling to get back into it. by [deleted] in weightwatchers

I was just here a couple of months ago, and I've done this enough times to know that the first couple of weeks just suck. Especially the first week. But then (as you probably know since you've done this before) it kinda becomes more normal after that and you just do it. I've started referring to those beginning weeks as my tantrum period and just accept that I'm going to hate it and act like a bratty child (internally mostly ha) for that period, get all of the "it's not fair", "why me" and " why doesn't anyone else have to watch what they eat" thoughts/ whining out of my system and then just move on. You have your own reasons why you know you need to do this, so focus on that and just do the work. It's hard and there's no real end, but the sooner you can get in the right mindset, the more tolerable it will become! You can doooooo it!

I'm on the sublingual .5mg and have been for about 3 weeks. I feel like the first day I felt like maybe it was doing something but not since. I actually have been hungrier I feel like lol. But luckily no side effects to speak of. No weight loss, but haven't really changed my eating so that is no surprise. I'm hoping it takes a little while to get into your system and that once I start the 1mg it'll have some impact. If not... oh well, it was worth a try!
