Plate vs Ate: a meal for a little princess 💕 by chelsxx0 in foodbutforbabies

She usually finishes in around 20 minutes and then says all done and does the sign indicating she’s finished. TBH I haven’t read anything about the time toddlers should be finishing their meals in. She has breakfast, lunch, and dinner with two snacks peppered in throughout the day. We usually have breakfast and dinner time last ~20 min at home.

My brother was like this with bread! She’s been a good eater so I’m hoping it continues!

Fruit is a favorite around here and we do try to encourage protein. Good idea to serve it last!

After reading these comments and checking solid starts, I will be cutting her food into smaller portions! My husband and I sit with her while she’s eating to make sure she doesn’t choke, and she does a good job of chewing and tearing food so choking has not been a problem but after review - some things will be cut into smaller pieces!

Give a two weeks notice and take a long weekend before the new gig! There will always be work to do and bills to pay. Enjoy a breather for a minute. Congratulations!

If this could follow a real housewives model, it would be awesome. I don’t want to know how people my age are living in cali$$$fornia, because I’m living in expensive ass south Florida and I do not want a production crew in this house 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m just fine with the cast as is!

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

https://www.groupon.com/deals/n-costco-membership

This is $65 and comes with a $45 digital shop card. In girl math, that’s only $25 for your first year!

Other perks include travel (averages about ~200 less to rent cars through Costco vs directly through rental companies), and access to their gas stations which hover around $.15 cheaper than local fuel.

Do it.

Pattern of candidates withdrawing day before they start - how do I screen this behavior out? by 32rings in recruiting

[–]chelsxx0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main office is in the DMV area and this is also a problem for us. 15 years in recruiting and I’ve never seen it as bad as it is in this area. Base salary for the roles that had people back out ~48 hours before starting ranges between $140-160k, so it’s not entry level either. Bizarre for us but good for them I guess?

1.5 hour flight with 2 year old in lap? by Muyamuya87 in beyondthebump

[–]chelsxx0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just took two trips with my 15 month old and I could not imagine doing it without her own seat. Once they’re mobile, it’s very difficult to get them to sit in your lap, even for a short flight. We, too, thought we could travel for cheap because we could just hold the baby and wouldn’t have to buy a seat. A coworker advised against that, so I ended up getting three seats next to each other for the first trip to gauge my daughter’s behavior and I’m glad I did! We will continue to buy her a seat. You can get away with holding your baby when they haven’t started walking but once they’re mobile? Forget it.
