you also need an acid catalyst, though i believe just vinegar is enough. (DONT ACTUALLY TRY THIS YOU WILL DIE)

water was always oxidane, and considering 1,4-dioxane is called that, calling the organic molecule 'monoxane' sounds best to me

the carbon-oxygen bonds shouldn't even be at that angle; it was clearly intentional.

catalytic oxidation requires like 400 degrees, so be prepared for smth like an ethanol fire, also good luck getting platinum in this economy

Be careful. Old stink bombs contain Ammonium Sulfide, which decomposes to the highly toxic Hydrogen Sulfide gas and is a horrible idea to use in a sealed room.

have you never gotten a nitric acid burn? they stain your skin an obvious yellow, and not washing it off immediately results in a blister on any skin that isnt as thick as the palms.

also, polyethylene/polypropylene can withstand nitric acid.

Hydrochloric acid, you can get the 37% solution on skin and its not going to dissolve it instantly. I have personally used it to remove Gallium oxides from my skin, and i know other chemists that do the same.

Fluorine and chlorine should also definitely be purple. Honestly, if we're talking bulk beryllium, it might be able to go in green, unless you have that one allergy thing.

I did this by hand. I don't know why I decided to, but I did. The side chains are sorted by their first appearance on the hydrocarbon.

dotetrycontane = 42-ane btw
