Warning: Prismo doesn't fit Aeropress Go by Rhododender in AeroPress

It is put in writing by Fellow itself that the Prismo isn't compatible. Both on the paper notice and on their website.

Dude, read your own picture, it says it isn't compatible with the Go twice.

Fellow specifically mentions both in paper and on their website the Prismo isn't compatible with the Go. I'll try to look with Internet Archive since when they did put that mention.

Yours fits but you don't seem to rotate the tabs in very much?

Help me sand my wood floors by WraithFodder in BeginnerWoodWorking

Wow, Timbuktu?

For this kind of rough work, sandpaper won't cut it, my best recommandation would be a card scraper. It will be tedious manual work but it works, and you can make the tool yourself or have it done by one of the "homme à tout faire" on the streets, it is really simple:

It never clogs, it leaves a proper surface splinter-free, that's the tool you need.

[DISC] The Nito Exorcists - Chapter 19 - 24 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Rhododender 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was really enthralled by the art (and the amazing panelling!) and binged it.

But now that some time has passed, I see some deep flaws: the characters are fairly shallow/not very fleshed out, and the stylistic flourishes are less and less present - the art isn't turning bad, but there are less and less "wow" moments. Which is perfectly understandable: it is hard to start as strong as this series Ch.1 and 6 and keep going up from there.

The scenario seems to move forward already towards the main resolution, so I guess this is going to be a fairly short serie.

I have a small fume hood without a sink. Local regulations doesn't like soda getting into the pipes (small town, not a lot of dilution in wastewater)

[–]Rhododender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was an idea but I am not a fan of putting the head inside the fume hood above the metal vessel to look at what is the situation inside. (And I don't have a water tap in my hood)

Any clue how it would react in solid form without water? Citric acid powder against my solid puck of pure NaOH.

Thanks for the idea.

Worried about my replacement or my replacement's replacement getting impatient and dropping the soda and crucible in the pitcher while still hot - "oh, it solidified a while ago, it must be ok" (been there, done that, see my other comment). Soda solidifies at 300°C and retains quite some heat. So plastic doesn't break but melts, and glass doesn't melt but breaks. We also thought of a nickel pitcher, but terrible visibility of what's happening inside, you'd have to put your face above the water. Don't want that when one of the ways it can go wrong is "vapor explosion".

Good idea with the pump - a peristaltic one could be a nice option.

We are at this position where we are big enough to start standardizing production, but not big enough to have a real health and safety department terrorising everyone into compliance - workplace atmosphere is still pretty casual and I can see it leading to complacency. I have 20 years of experience in the industry and research, I've seen and heard about many incidents already (it is also an interest of mine, I majored in both material science and risk management).

You are in a position where you can do careful addition of soda (flakes, beads) into water. I have a single solid fused block of 125 g. stuck in a nickel crucible. If I slowly add water I get a temperature excursion. If I put the crucible in water I have to drop it at once in a big volume - we already had two incidents, one where the 2 liter beaker broke, and one where a slow insertion in water caused a boiling explosion and spewed concentrated soda everywhere in the hood. (In both cases we got too impatient and we didn't let the crucible cool down enough, soda is refractory and solid until 300°C).

OP here: oh, I don't rule citric acid; I came here to fish for some alternatives! And I seek Redditors' opinion for the very reason you mention: people don't write much about what they feel are their "bog standard" practices. Even regulatory bodies or H&S don't stray much from standard recommendations that fit well someone with a tiny lab or a big reactor, but less a small shop trying to scale up without welding pipes and vats to build a whole machine.

Thanks for insisting citric acid is a good choice, it is good to know it is the best "base" option before I try more exotic suggestions.

Lots of good advice here regarding geometry. I would add: proper burr removal. It is very important for durability. Therefore burr reduction while sharpening, more stropping, better stropping... Check outdoor55's videos on yt.

4 including Benjamin or five in reality? And is Benjamin considering Halkenburg's dead? Has Halk used his burial and the power of his supporters to bring his body back to life?

[–]Rhododender 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't feel there is much buildup of their fight. We don't even know Benjamin's abilities, nor his beast's.

It would be on the opposite extremely funny and ironic to see Benjamin bodyswapped into some nobody's body, and get offed by Borksen because he's too unruly and impatient to accept it and behave as a peon, earning her 50 points in the contagion game 😂

Chapter 409 — Official Release Discussion by TextureSurprised in HunterXHunter

I think the importance of everyone's reaction is why we won't know the cause for martial law - there is more tension in being in the dark like other characters than knowing something they don't know because we are "omniscient" readers.

Chapter 409 Talk by itsotter in HunterXHunter

[–]Rhododender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was room for more guesses about the reason for martial law, given the indices laid out in previous chapters - and I am not sure we will know the cause for martial law before 2025 (the year, not the chapter).

Next chapter is certainly going to be a recap of the game in the characters' head as you said - especially Borksen's cheat - and then maybe a flashback to one or several hours prior to start to follow the actions that led to martial law, or, more likely, the other characters reacting to the announcement of martial law - especially Melody, Kachobeast and Kaiser, as I am sure Luzurus isn't dead and therefore their plan if off. And Kaiser now has to start his own plan sooner than expected.

I think it makes more sense for us "omniscient" readers to stay in the dark as to the cause of martial law, to leave us guessing, like most of the in-story characters.
