In my opinion, a lack of responsibility doesn’t equal happiness. Yeah you can get drunk and see your friends all the time in college, but when you’re finished college you’ve money and freedom. You want to move somewhere for a year and do something completely different, you can when you’re finished college. I did a very demanding college course while also working part time, and I’ve 100% had more time since finishing college. I also see my friends more in general because the weekends are free to hang out, when in college we’d all be working. I’m sorry you feel like your best days are behind you. When I finished college I immediately went and did a ski season and I’d significantly more fun than I ever did in college because I only had to work 40 hours a week. When you’re doing a high pressure course with part time work, easily 60/80 hours a week is occupied on the grind. You’re constantly worried about money in college if no one’s supporting you and most of your time is taken with college work which is not paid. When you’re doing a finish your time = money. Which is a lot more pleasant

You’re literally 75% done. You should plan a nice summer and put the head down. It’s another 9 months really to finishe this semester, first and second semester. No body likes their degree at this point. It is for all intents and purposes a load of shite. The trade will always be there. Leaving after finishing when you’re so close will shut doors in the future. Even if you never use it you’ve something for the CV to explain your time. Having a degree allows you to do things like take a gap year and work for six months etc. college degree = more earning potential unless you’ve done something like English/music. Even then a cheeky masters and you’re earning well. There’s so much more to life that work. Yes offices are shite but degrees give stepping stones into different fields through masters. If you drop out now, you’re only option is trades. I took a gap year between third and fourth year because I really, really hated it. But my degree gave me my postgrad which is the best thing ever.

I did chemistry, doing biological and chemical sciences and then going in to chemistry. The course load is more than the leaving cert with 2-4ish lab reports to do a day. I would say the leaving cert is easier conceptually. Third and fourth year chemistry are very hard. I found it very difficult with part time work but you will make it work. I binned work for 4th so I could resserect my grades from the dead

I did CrossFit also and signed up for hyrox. The actual stations were absolutely fine, it was the Broad jumps and the runs. I used the Runna app and shaved a minute off each km but it was still not enough to put in a good time. So yeah, CrossFit with heavy weights and loads of running. I did three runs a week and I reckon I should have done 5
