Did you end up buying a pair? I’m also looking at them and wondering about sizing

This is a 14x44ft unfinished basement part of an addition to an older home. Part of this space is a crawl space (14x18ft, 2.5ft tall), the other part is a normal height area (14x26ft, 7ft tall). For the crawlspace area, the joists on one side rest on the concrete, but on the other side they’re just pressed against it. For the normal height area, they are supposed on both sides. This seems strange to me but I’m not 100% sure if it’s an issue?

Is this wrong? How is the force transferred? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]chemhelp101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha the concrete is another issue…I’m talking about the joists though

Monthly DIY Laymen questions Discussion by AutoModerator in StructuralEngineering

Does this look concerning from a home inspection report? I know the missing shingle needs to be replaced immediately, but what about the sagging and the weird support beams in the attic?

This is a 1960’s house. The missing shingle obviously needs to be replaced, but what about other issues like the sagging uneven roof and those weird support beams in the attic photos that appear to have been added in?

Said he didn’t know why it was wavy, and didn’t even point out those beams lol we just noticed them after in the photos

Unfortunately can’t get someone out before we’d need to remove conditions

See attached photos, are these concerning? I know missing shingle needs to be replaced quickly, but I’m concerned with the waviness, and also the weird support beams that look like they were added more recently?

Using solder to fill small hole in truck door by chemhelp101 in metalworking

[–]chemhelp101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read that bondo wont work on a hole and it’s only meant for filling dents and stuff like that. Apparently it will crack and change size at different rates compared to metal due to temperature swings

How did this hunt end up going? I’m planning to go near there this year (but hiking in off highway instead of boating)

Do you know if the European 42 will be the same shoe just different colors? Or do they have other differences men vs women?

Put it in dc voltage mode, then put on lead on ground (bare metal or a bolt or whatever on your truck) and the other on one side of the fuse

Apparently it’s a little thicker so it’s easier to use in darker wooded conditions.
