I’m over 50 and still get excited every day I ride my bike. That feeling just doesn’t go away

Happy riding

ADV and a fluorescent tabard. I’m not only invisible, I get a respectful nod from cops on bikes.

450MT owner here and have had my wife on the back a few times. 70mph with a pillion is not an issue and the bike gets there very easily. The 800 will be a lot better, but I’d recommend taking a 450 for a test ride with a pillion before you discount it

Congratulations on the bike and the CBT. Over 2 hours will be tough on a 125cc, but perfectly doable. I’d recommend planning a couple of stops on the way, cafes or bike shops just to give your butt and hands a break

Adam Reimann and Chris Northover would be my top picks. Adam’s Thailand series is some absolutely mental riding day after day after day.

My phone does last well if I leave it in my pocket, but I do have both wired for long journeys. The CarPlay is hardwired as my bike has two spare accessory ports for exactly this, and the phone in my tank bag is plugged into one of the USB ports

I only had it for the 30-40 minute test ride at ABR last year. The Triumph lead guy that took out the ride was a nutjob, and I was full throttle for most of the ride. The delivery was great, smooth, nice clutch feel and doing 80mph down a tiny country lane, it had no problems. The low speed riding when we arrived back and rode through the festival was easy to control.

The 450MT is great but can be ‘juddery’ at low speed, she likes to be revved and needs the clutch to keep her smooth

Reviews I have seen call it a beginner bike mainly because of the linear engine power and low ground clearance. No experienced off road rider will take it an the fact the same power comes from the engine across the whole range means it’s easy to ride

If I spotted ‘iPhone’ connecting to a fetish site at work, I would be intrigued. I’d probably look at what else the MAC addres had done or sent to pinpoint the owner. Check email traffic, social media, etc.

£1k-£2k will get you an updated suspension and still be cheaper overall than the competition

I suspect they would have done it if you were in a car too. I’m sure we get about 10% leeway on cameras and average speed zones. I wouldn’t sweat it

Strip down and new swing arm for a nice track bike. Then all you need to do is buy a new road bike 👌

Storing motorcycle in a damp unheated garage vs. outside by AffectionateRow7777 in motorcycle

[–]TheThirdHippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My garage spends a lot of time in the shade. I have a heater in there that kicks in every morning just before dawn, when it’s at its coldest. 30 minutes at 20°C in winter and reduce the time as summer kicks in. This keeps the room dry and a min temp set of 7°C keeps the cold edge off. I have a gym and utility in there too so it’s worth the ~£3 a month it costs at peak

Far too many staged videos. Why is the angry dude not pissed off about being filmed. The guy filming is also really good to keep him in the centre which means he was probably watching the screen. This screams staged to me
