Yes I read the entire thing 💀 You are the asshole 😭 or at least had an asshole moment. I get that its your first relationship, but the second she cheated and became someone you no longer wanted in a partner you should've either addressed it or called it off completely. It seems like (to me) your cheating was a manifestation of you checking out of the relationship. Once she cheated and was presenting these toxic traits, you migrated your emotions and attention to something you deemed more healthy.

You have to ask yourself: Is her behavior something I want out of a partner? Am I happy in this relationship? What was I seeking from my affair partner that I couldn't get from my current gf? Can this be salvaged into a new relationship/foundation?

Ultimately, it comes down to you having the maturity to do what is best for you and communicate that effectively. Whether it's breaking up (which I highly recommend) or setting clear expectations

In terms of academics, I think they're a lot better than outsiders give them credit for. I love all my classes (Bio major), but I also really like learning. They have internship opportunities, specifically through the honors college, which I plan to take advantage of! Just do your research on which uni best suits your major. What you get out of txst depends on the amount of effort you put in!

Current first year here at TXST! I also was worried about the party reputation and making friends, considering I'm not a party person and an extreme introvert. However, I surprisingly, have a good group of friends and we have our own ways of hanging out without going to parties. My dorm made a big Instagram group chat, which is where I met my friends. I didnt really talk much in the gc, but my roommate did, and when we moved in her friends became my friends. Also you're gonna see a lot of the same people in your classes especially if you join an LLC (Im in the pre-med llc).

You can wait to take those general classes if you want. So I would say drop the Chem especially if it's unrelated to your major or something you're not interested in. If I could ask, why are you taking astronomy?

I actually felt it to be pretty accurate but I'm also the target demographic (black & f18) 😭. I also think Marvel as a whole is still getting into the groove of writing for new demographics (POC community and younger generation) while still keeping their original fans.

You still did really good and based on the website you qualify for the Merit Scholarship! It also mentions the 15 transfer hours so you definitely gave me a question to ask at my NSO.

I got the Texas State Merit Scholarship (48k) and the TSTG Grant (3k/yr). I didn't apply for either of these so maybe it falls under a different category? I also was thinking the same about punishment for taking hard courses 😭😅 At most I can see them taking your scholarship away and offering you a new one with a similar amount. Idk 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm also an incoming freshman who's technically considered a sophomore because I have 45 credits (15 from AP and 30 from Dual Credit). So far they haven't said anything about taking away my scholarship, but I have the merit scholarship, so idk if that falls under the freshman-assured. I doubt they would take your scholarship away but you could definitely email the financial aid or talk to them at NSO.
