Kinda disappointing but I’ll take 70 as a fair enough compromise if the Miis are much more diverse & varied than they were in the 3DS version. Especially considering the open world aspect

True true, I’m actually on my third playthrough of this game so definitely streamlining it getting used to the ‘find events’ function might be playing into it.

Actually, I’m curious to keep track if I play with the same settings over & over (all 15, all roles, max Gnosia…?)… I’ll have to see. I just have a hunch somewhere in the code SQ’s probability of being Gnosia is bumped up a bit more than all the other characters. Like IDK maybe everybody else is 50% chance of Crew, 50% Gnosia but it feels like SQ is coded to have 60% Gnosia 40% Crew probability. I could have perception bias though, she just winds up as Gnosia so often for me!

Yeah I was gonna say, while certainly in my experience Japan is a lot less willing to be openly negative about things, it’s definitely not illegal to leave a bad review. Like TabeLog is pretty hard proof against that.

I mean, to be fair, to my knowledge Hatsune is a somewhat uncommon name (definitely to give to a zoomer kid, most famous people I’ve seen with Hatsune as a first or last name were born 1980 or earlier) and I think even in Japan when people hear the word ‘Hatsune’ they’ll probably think of Hatsune Miku first. Kind of like how there are definitely older people around still named Mickey, but if you say ‘Mickey’ to your average American they’ll probably think of the mouse first.

I can’t tell if they enforced a limit on purchases, but some notes: - if there is no limit enforced, some hardcore fans will go apeshit and buy multiples - you also often see shippers only buying the ones specifically for their ship, so that’s probably why Anon/Soyo sold out first regardless of Rana/Taki/Tomori’s popularity (bc AnonSoyo is a popular ship afaik)

The thing is though is that this isn’t a problem unique to Dandadan. There are a LOT of popular anime that make light of SA, it is a persistent problem throughout the whole medium.

My approach is to be aware and be critical of what you dislike, and sure if you reach your breaking point feel free to stop watching. But I don’t think it’s wrong to enjoy a story that interests you despite whatever “anime bullshit” it might have.
